An Open Letter To My Older Sister
Meredith Richards

Dear older sister,

Thank you for being you. Most of the time I do not know what I would do without you. You help me get through some of the toughest moments of my life. When I am in a rough situation it is probably likely you have been in that same exact situation so you tell me how to get out of it. I can tell you things and you will not judge what comes out of my mouth (at least most of the time). You were my first friend. Not only that but you are my first lifelong friend. No matter what we say to each other, whether it is mean or nice, we always come back to each other. You help me navigate my life an figure out what I want to do with my life.

You are always a phone call away. No matter if you are living 20 minutes away or on the other side of the world, you will always be there for me. You make sure I have what I need. We have done so much together and we still have a lot to be done together. We share memories all the time of our childhoods. We may 10 years apart but we have done a lot of the same things.

Thank you for always supporting me in everything that I do. Whether that be gymnastics, band, track, or school you have always been there for me. You may not have been to every meet or concert or every school function but I know you have been there for since day one. I am glad you are not afraid to tell me if something looks good on me or if it looks bad on me. I know I can always go to you for fashion advice. You even let me borrow clothes or accessories occasionally and for that I am very grateful.

I can trust with you everything. Yes we may not tell each other everything but we definitely know a lot about each other. In other words we are very close. I love the relationship we have. As we get older our relationship changes and we get closer because I am beginning to experience what you went through when you were in college. I do not know who I would be without you. Even though we both grew up kinda like only children we grew up in different eras and have different experiences.

I love you so much. I cannot wait to see what the future holds for us and I cannot wait to conquer the world together. I am glad that I am around to help you and that you are around to help me.

Sincerely,
your younger sister

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
