Seriously can't believe I even have to write this article... WHAT ARE YOU THINKING BOYS!?! There's always been the stereotype that cheerleading is a girly sport, but that is 100% totally WRONG, not sure what sport these people are watching! In cheerleading, you're lifting girls, throwing them around, and throwing your own body around turning it upside down, spinning it around. It requires STRENGTH my friends, lots of strength. So for all you boys who think it's too "girly" and not manly enough, here's some reasons why you're totally wrong and should be ashamed of your assumptions.
You're surrounded by girls 24/7.
Cheerleading takes a lot of practice. That means you are going to be surrounded by these girls for multiple hours. I shouldn't have to even keep this list going after this one.
Not only are you surrounded by girls, but you are surrounded by girls in tight clothing.
Loose clothing isn't the best for cheerleading SO THAT MEANS that you're surrounded by girls in small clothes with great bods....come on, sounding more appealing right?
You're one of the only guys on the team and probably taller than all of the girls, therefore probably a back spot.
Do you know what this means!? Obviously not if you aren't cheering right now. THIS MEANS LOTS OFF BUTT TOUCHING THAT IS TOTALLY ACCEPTABLE. Your top girl would much rather you grab a handful of her butt than her whole body hitting that ground.
Your teammates, who are girls, become very comfortable around you.
AKA CHANGING RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOUR FACE.
Other girls think you are trust worthy, brave, and SUPER strong.
When they see you throwing around a girl like a rag doll, they're going to realize that you have to be EXTREMELY strong to do that. You also have to be super trustworthy because we don't let random men come throw us around. Brave because most guys are too scared to be a cheerleader, but you....you had the guts and know exactly what you're doing.
Cheerleaders are super flexible.
HELLO!!! You get to see these girls pull their legs by their head. Let's not mess around, we know you think that's awesome boys... I don't care what you say.
If you aren't going to be a cheerleader, that's fine, but there are some SERIOUS pros to being one, just saying. I mean....at least date one if you aren't going to be one *insert hair flip emoji*
