Hey kid, you may seem like you are the biggest and the best because you have now entered high school, but I promise that you aren't. I am not telling you this because I want to knock you down and make you feel bad about yourself but rather to make sure you have your head on the right way while walking through these halls.

Go to Friday night lights, dress up along with the theme for the game and stand in the student section cheering on your team, even if they do suck, because in the end, you're not going to remember the score of that game but rather the fun time you had with everyone around you. Remember that high school is a time to have fun but it is also a time that you should take your grades seriously, make sure due dates are a priority and try not to procrastinate too much because you will get overly stressed out. At the same time, do not try to be a perfectionist don't cry over a grade or how a teacher treats you. Just ask yourself if you did your best. If you did then you have nothing more to worry about, if you could have tried a little harder then tell yourself to work harder next time, as there is nothing you can do about the past now.

Do not let boys waste your time. I understand that high school is four years filled will relationships but it also does not mean you have to be in a relationship! Boys at this age are weird and rude and don't know how to handle their body changing, also they have raging hormones that they can't seem to keep under control, so just try to avoid wasting time with a boy who doesn't know how to value and respect you, because guess what you are worth it. And in advance, if you decide to try a relationship, go ahead and get the chocolate chunk ice cream and "Grey's Anatomy" ready. Just trust me on that one.

Spend time with your family! You have four more years left before you move out and to a freshman that may seem like forever but I promise you it flies by. Don't let your ego get in the way because I promise you are not "better than family time". Remember what I said earlier about not being the "biggest and the best"? Yeah, that applies here too.

Most importantly enjoy the time you have now, relish in the present, not wishing for the future. Senior year and graduation will be here before you know it and if you don't live it up and have the best time of your life, you're going to wish you could do it over again. You may feel as though my advice could be overlooked, but sit down for a minute and think about how quickly you got to where you are today, and how quickly these four years will go by too.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
