Leading an active and productive lifestyle is something that is an absolute necessity for every person. It’s also very difficult to define how to be active or being passive. You may be being passive without you even knowing it yourself. So here are a few tips on how to become more active and start leading a healthy lifestyle.
Active people organize their life plans and work to accomplish their goals… passive people sit around and wait for a miracle.
Active people never stop pursing their dreams… passive people have mid-life crises’ and blame everyone but themselves.
Active people choose the path that is the best for them even if it is the most difficult… passive people go with whatever is easiest.
Active people are passionate… passive people don’t know the meaning of the word.
Active people don’t wait for opportunities; they make their own… passive people need opportunities handed to them.
Active people spend their weekends traveling; spending time with loved ones, and creating new hobbies… passive people spend it on the couch.
Active people care about the news… passive people read it and forget it.
Active people build on their own personality… passive people buy into it.
Go to your professor’s office hours and build a relationship for a recommendation letter in the future. Study a week before a huge mid-term instead of cramming the night before. Travel. Fall in love. Learn what’s happening in the world because you care. Be yourself, not someone who you think is more desirable.
College is one of the most important and pivotal times of our lives. Binge watching Netflix is great and I do it often, however, I regret it when I see my sorority sisters being active and changing their lives through involvement and personal growth. It’s never too late to change a lifestyle to something that will benefit you tremendously in the long run.
So what are you going to do this weekend? Be active or passive?
