Summer is quickly approaching. Make it count by adventuring away from the beach and your back yard!

1. Go hiking

Big Spring Falls in Minnesota is one of the most beautiful hiking spots you'll encounter. There are multiple beautiful and easy trails to hike in Minnesota that even the most inexperienced hiker can master!

2. Go camping

Camping is a cheap way to get outside and enjoy nature. Most state forests and national parks offer free or cheap camping to those who are interested!

3. Rent a paddle board

You can rent stand-up paddle boards at various lakes in Minnesota, including Lake Harriet in Minneapolis! Spending a hot day at the beach on a board doesn't get much better.

4. Go cliff diving

Have you ever been to the quarries? St. Cloud has old quarries that you can jump into lakes from!

5. Art festival

It's not summer without the art festivals! Check out the schedule of art and craft shows in your area and plan a day to look around.

6. Check out a poetry slam

Even if you don't like spoken word poetry, it can be interesting to watch others perform their newly-created pieces. There are poetry slams in different locations in Minnesota throughout the entire summer. Create your own to compete with, or go watch!

7. Go to a concert of a band you've never heard of

Support your local music scene by going to a concert... that you've never heard of. Checking out the local talent can help you meet new people, get more involved in the community, and cure the occasional case of weekend boredom.

8. Go grad party crashing

OK, so don't steal food or cause any problems. It doesn't hurt to write a touching card, slip it into their grad-card-box, and chat with a few of the others who don't know anyone else there.

9. Run a 5K

Make it your goal to run (or walk) a 5K. Training for and accomplishing a run will keep you active and busy in the summer.

10. Go geocaching

Geocaching is finding a hidden object during a hike. You can find a website for your area, where the coordinates will be provided. It's an adult-treasure hunt!

11. Go to a debate

No matter who you're voting for (or if you're voting at all), take the time to attend or watch a debate. Staying up-to-date on what's going on nationally and in your community is always worth it.

12. Go skydiving

Cross the final item on your bucket list off and take the jump! Skydiving is a once in a lifetime activity.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
