If you don't mind being alone, your idea of a good time consists of staying home, and the idea of socialization exhausts you, you are most likely an introvert. Here are a list of a few things that introverts experience on a daily basis:
1. You hate small talk.
"So how about the Phillies this year?" "I wonder if this rain will ever end." Small talk with random people is absolute torture for introverts. In these types of situations, I tend to reprimand myself for forgetting to bring my headphones.
2. You have a RBF that could kill.
People often assume you're silently judging them when you're really just staring off into space wondering why a tomato is a fruit, but ketchup isn't a jelly. Or you could be silently judging them...no one really knows.
3. You hate nothing more than the feeling of being embarrassed.
Introverts feel embarrassed too often. Whether you fall in public, are called out by one of your friends, or even if you just drop a pencil in class, you hate the unwanted attention and want nothing more than to just crawl under a rock and ponder your life choices.
4. People are constantly asking you if you're OK.

5. When your friends cancel plans that you never wanted to do in the first place.

6. When you finally talk in class just to get the participation points.

7. Negotiating with your parents when they force you to go to family parties.
Meeting a distant cousin for the first time and having to explain to them your entire life story is not the ideal situation.
8. One of your worst fears in life is talking to a stranger on the phone.

9. "You're such a good listener."
Am I really listening? Or am I thinking about what I am going to eat for my next meal?
Introverts live a reserved life in a rambunctious world. Yes, we are quiet and can be painfully awkward in social situations, but we do possess traits that make us extraordinarily unique. To all of the introverts out there: it's OK to not be outgoing. Never be ashamed to call yourself a wallflower!
