Living in girl world can be a dangerous place where self-loathing and confidence issues are at the forefront of one's mind. There're so many difficulties to girl world and so many reasons those difficulties should not exist.
1. Eat what you love, what you eat.
It is okay to enjoy unhealthy food as long as it is in moderation, and eating should not stop women from enjoying social gatherings. Dieting is at the forefront of women's minds. There is an enormous amount of focus and stress dedicated to eating, making food the frenemy when it doesn't need to be. Rather than focusing on losing weight, there should be a focus on making a stronger, healthier body.
2. "Made out with a hot dog? Oh my God, that was one time!"
A lot of times, if something embarrassing happens, the main goal is to completely forget about it or embrace the embarrassment. Right after it happens, there are many thoughts about who saw and what they now think about you. Are they judging you? Maybe they don't like you now. All these thoughts run through your mind and cause stress. In reality, people will laugh off what just happened and move on.
3. You will come across a mean girl everywhere you go.
She always has a judgment whether it is intentional or not. You dread interacting with her because she brings your mood down and ruins your day. She always makes you question your decisions or yourself. This girl must be taken with a grain of salt. It's hard to just ignore her because she gets under your skin so easily. But the faster you are able to ignore her, the happier your life will be.
4. "If only you knew how mean she really is."
A lot of the time when someone is being bullied, it is ignored or attempts are made to make it sound less aggressive. No one truly understands the depth of the effects a bully has. Sadly enough, when it is revealed how cruel a bully is, it is usually too late to do anything to help. There are so many mean girls that do not understand the effects of their actions.
5. Someone will always be prettier than you
There are so many beautiful women in the world. Many women embrace their beauty and post selfies because they feel beautiful. They receive a lot of love, but also receive a lot of backlash. Women get judged because they embrace their beauty. They get looks from other girls who are envious or do not agree. We tell women to look beautiful and look great, but as soon as they accept themselves, it becomes wrong.
6. Love your body and love your Halloween costume.
It is a sad fact that Halloween is a holiday where girls can dress however they want and not care about judgment. Other girls look, judge, and gossip about the outfits they see other people wearing. Women get judged for feeling comfortable enough with their body to wear what they want. The girls that get judged, they take it in stride because they feel confident and feel attractive.
7. “Somebody wrote in that book that I’m lying about being a virgin because I use super jumbo tampons, but I can’t help it if I’ve got a heavy flow and a wide-set vagina!”
It is a sad fact, a lot of the things that we hear about other people is inaccurate. The information is either misconstrued or false — it is one big game of telephone. This results in rumors being made up about others and causing emotional damage because she doesn't understand why the rumor as made up in the first place.
8. Don't judge a book by its cover.
Passing judgments about others will not do anything beneficial. All it will do is create harm and damage and pain. Simple as that. It will not change you, and it will not change them, it will just create more problems for everyone around.
9. “There are two kinds of evil people in this world. Those who do evil stuff and those who see evil stuff being done and don’t try to stop it.”
The worst part is that there are bandwagon people. The people who don't necessarily agree with what is said or done, but still further the problem by letting it continue or following along. There are people that make bad decisions or say the wrong thing to hurt others. These people unintentionally work hand-in-hand to create more obstacles.
