Start planning your road trips for the semester now because there's only so much time to make memories with your college friends before you all go your separate ways. If you catch the wanderlust bug this semester and need to get out of Tallahassee for a bit, here are some awesome places to go!

1. Thomasville, GA

Only a 45 minute drive from Tallahassee, this cute city is the perfect place to getaway from Tallahassee without having to drive too far. It’s completely Instagram-worthy and don’t forget to check out The Bookshelf (an adorable bookstore) and Grassroots Coffee!

2. Florida Caverns State Park in Marianna, FL

About an hour and 15 minutes from FSU, go out and get your fair share of adventure exploring the park’s caverns. Maybe now you’ll finally learn the difference between stalagmites and stalactites.

3. Panama City Beach, FL

A little more lengthy of a day trip drive, PCB is around 2 hours from FSU. Take advantage of Florida’s beautiful weather and have a beach trip with your friends any weekend. Go and see for yourself why so many people choose PCB as their Spring Break destination!

4. Jacksonville, FL

If you’re looking to go explore a new city, Jacksonville is a great road trip option. It’s 2 and a half hours away and has so much to offer. Jacksonville has the best of both worlds - beautiful state parks and beaches nearby, while also being a metropolitan area. If you’re missing a bigger city environment and want to explore the other coast of Florida, this is the place for you! If you venture over, I also highly recommend going to nearby St. Augustine, the ‘Nation’s Oldest City’ settled in 1565 by the Spanish!

5. Devil’s Den - Williston, FL

You might have to venture into enemy territory on this road trip. Just outside of Gainesville 2 and a half hours away is a beautiful, natural spring that will make you feel like you’ve travelled to another planet. Snorkel with friends and don’t forget to take a pic of this Florida gem!

6. Seaside, FL

This gorgeous *seaside* community is also around 2 and a half hours away from FSU. The picturesque city is the perfect place to spend an afternoon exploring with friends, grabbing a slushy cone during the farmer’s market, and strolling down the beautiful beach. If you’re a movie fanatic, you can also go take a pic in front of the house where the Truman Show was filmed.

7. Atlanta, GA

You might need to book an Airbnb to pull off this trip as Atlanta’s 4 hours away. A southern epicenter of culture, there’s always something going on in Atlanta. Whether you want to catch a concert, go to the Center for Civil and Human Rights, go out in the city nightlife, or just explore downtown, Atlanta’s a great weekend trip!

8. The one, the only…. Nola

The lengthiest, but certainly not the least of the road trip destinations is New Orleans! A city so vibrant, with nightlife the Strip can’t even begin to compare to, this city will make you and your friends feel alive. So go ahead, eat some beignets at Cafe du Monde, dance to Jazz down Bourbon street, and have the time of your life in Nola!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
