74th Golden Globe Awards: Best Dressed
Awards Daily

2017 Golden Globes was filled with stars, awards and more glamour than one can imagine. It is a night where the best of the best in Hollywood come together to celebrate their work, and then party after. The Golden Globes are more than just celebrating the art of cinema; it is also an event to wear the most exquisite looks. Once again, the red carpet this year did not disappoint. Here is a list of my opinion on the best dressed for Golden Globes in 2017.

Natalie Portman in Prada: Yes people, she is pregnant and still looks this good. Natalie not only went for a unique and elegant look, but she also took a risk with the bold color. Hats off for looking this good, being pregnant, and also showing tribute to your character, Jackie Kennedy, on the red carpet.

Michelle Williams in Louis Vuitton: So simple, but yet so elegant. Michelle takes on the red carpet with the hottest trends of the season: choker, off the shoulder, and lace. Collaborating these trends did well in her favor.

Lily Collins in Zuhair Murad: This is the first dress Lilly tried on and she was in love it, and so was I. She brings a vintage feel to the red carpet, and it works well with her hair and makeup. Lilly resembled a true princess at the awards show.

Millie Bobby Brown in Jenny Packham: Age is just a number, especially on the red carpet. Stranger Things star, better known for her role as Eleven, took on a huge transformation from the character on the red carpet this past Sunday.

Blake Lively in Atelier Versace: Post-pregnancy does not look anymore flawless. I am a big fan of this dress and the way it hugs Blake’s curves. The pockets and neckline add a graceful touch.

Jessica Biel in Elie Saab: The plunging neckline is a trend for the red carpet this season. Jessica pulls off this risk taker no question. Keeping the hair and makeup subtle made the look complete perfection.

Kristen Bell in Jenny Packham: Again with that plunging neckline, and again it looks amazing. Kristen rocked this look, and looked hot doing so. The light lip makeup and diamond accessories made this look a solid 10.

Priyanka Chopra in Ralph Lauren Collection: Golden Goddess at the Golden Globes. This is a show stopping look from the Quatico star. That beautiful skin tone in this dress is mesmerizing.

Sophie Turner in Louis Vuitton: This is an edgy statement that I am obsessed with. The Game of Thrones actress has slowly grown out of her comfort zone and has blossomed into a fierce woman. I am very excited to see what she brings to the red carpet in the future (and also the screen).

Emma Stone in Valentino Haute Couture: WOW. Just wow. This is by far my favorite look of the night. Not only did La La Land film steal the show, but so did Emma’s dress. This is a dreamy, Hollywood-glam like gown that took my break away. While being so put together, she still looks effortless. Congrats Emma.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
