As you get older, it gets easier for "life" to get in the way of your bucket list. For example, one trip to Starbucks per month versus going three times per week will save you about $60. That means $720 per year. That could be a plane ticket!
Let loose and have some fun! Your career will come soon, no worries. Let's get to the list.
1. Go camping.
Whether you're a camping person or not, take a few days with your best friends and have fun with nature! Cutting off social media for a little while is one of the easiest ways to rewind from a busy semester! It's guaranteed that you'll have great stories to tell!
2. Have coffee with someone who you view to be wise.
This person might be your grandpa, a professor, or a co-worker. Pick someone who has been through a heck of a lot and ended up being a pretty awesome individual. This person will give you the insight to prep you for the real world.
3. Detox your body.
Let's be real, college causes you to eat weird things and sleep at odd times (or barely at all). You're in need of a cleanse! Drink green tea or some fruit infused water every day for a week. You'll feel refreshed! If you don't like either of those, take a nice bath with five or six tea bags and let your body soak in it for an hour or so.
4. Go to a concert.
All of those hours in the library that you spend listening to music never compare to a live experience! After long months of testing, dancing and being carefree will help you shake off the stress of the pressure to plan the future! Concerts are all about living in the now!
5. Take that trip that you and your friends have been talking about for years.
Friends are an absolute necessity for life! You don't want to look back years from now and say, "I wish I didn't take life so seriously in my 20's. I should have traveled more." Do it! Go to a city, eat good food, and take a million pictures! You aren't getting any younger!
6. Treat yourself.
70 percent of Americans will study at a four-year college and less than 2/3 of them will graduate. You deserve to splurge! You are awesome, so go to your favorite clothing store and buy a shirt.
7. Do something that makes you feel young again.
Get your old group of friends together, just like old times. Go to the zoo with your sibling. Make a sandcastle! It doesn't matter how old you are or how silly it seems. Whatever you reminisce on from your childhood, do it!
8. Get organized!
You probably shoved everything that you could into trash bags and then into your car as fast as you could to finally get home for break. It's such an awesome feeling of accomplishment after taking a day to get back to being organized!
9. Challenge yourself to a new workout.
Putting on a bikini after many months of baggy sweatpants and hoodies can be a bit frightening! Try doing a daily ab workout to change up your weekly run. Go biking at a local park or make a goal to swim 10 laps in your neighbor's pool every morning! You deserve to feel confident! Working new muscles that you are not used to working could produce some rewarding results!
10. Make summer salsa!
Summer salsa is not only refreshing, it's also easy to make! All that you need is pineapple, peppers, tomatoes, cilantro, onion, lime juice, salt, and pepper! Dice it all up, mix it in a bowl, and share (or not)! If you want to look super fancy walking into a party with it, put it all in a hollowed out pineapple!
11. Have a friend help you get rid of some old clothes.
You might not realize that you haven't worn half of your wardrobe in the past few years until a friend says, "You've seriously had this shirt since sixth grade." This is a perfect time to make room for some closet space in your future apartment/house. If you do a serious wardrobe sacrifice, you can receive money in return for the old stuff in order to buy professional-looking new stuff for interviews coming up this year!
Summer begins shortly, so make your plans fast!
