Without a doubt, my mom is the most important person in my life. She's always just a phone call away whenever I need her for anything at all. She's selfless, supportive, caring, and the greatest mom I could ever ask for. And most importantly, she's become my best friend. Here's a list of 7 signs that your mom is your best friend.
1. She’s the first one you text or call—for anything.
My mom is definitely the most important person in my life, so when anything important happens—or anything, really—she’s the first person I talk to.
2. You tell her absolutely everything.
People think I’m crazy when I say this, but I tell my mom EVERYTHING…the good, the bad, the REALLY bad, because she doesn’t judge me. She’s there to listen and I can’t thank her enough for that.
3. She’s your rock.
I can’t emphasize this one enough—my mom is MY ROCK. Whenever I’m having a tough day, I reach out to her because she’s always there to listen and help when I need it. My mom always knows how to knock some sense into me because she knows me better than anyone else ever could.
4. You love visiting home just to see her.
I don’t go home often because I’m extremely busy, but when I do, I look forward to spending time with my mom. Most breaks we go shopping together and get a few meals together. I even love not really doing anything and just talking to her—any time I spend with her is a gift since I don’t get to see her very often.
5. She always knows what to do or say.
Whenever I’m breaking down on the phone with my mom, she somehow always knows what to do in any situation. She knows how to calm me down or how to tell me to grow up and stop being ridiculous. No matter what, she has the best advice.
6. She’s your #1 cheerleader.
Of course your parents are supportive in everything you do, but my mom is my #1 cheerleader. Whenever I post an article on the Odyssey, she shares it on her Facebook. She and my dad went to every home football game to see me march on the field at halftime. When our football team made it to a Bowl Game, my parents flew down to Florida—just to see us perform. My mom is so supportive of me and I cannot express how amazing she is—and how grateful I am.
7. You can’t imagine life without her.
Thanks Mom, for always being there—for being my support system, my rock—and most importantly, my best friend.
