Sure, summer is great, but in my opinion, it gets entirely too hot! Especially here in the South. I love fall time. It happens to be my favorite season for many reasons. There is just something magic about the time of year when the leaves begin to change and there's a little chill in the air. Here are a few reasons that fall is the best season of all time.
1. Bonfires
This is one of my favorite things to do in fall. It is so much fun to get friends together to have a bonfire. It's fun to see the embers dance up into the night sky while you sit around chatting with friends. You can make s'mores, which are good no matter what time of year, but taste especially good when you roast them over a bonfire.
2. The Beautiful Scenery
The leaves change colors and it makes for a beautiful change of scenery. There is nothing quite like going down a road during fall and looking at all of the beautiful colors that the leaves change to. It's also nice to be able to be outdoors without sweating after only five minutes.
3. Fall Time Movies
Say what you will, but Halloween movies during fall time are the best! Who doesn't love watching "Hocus Pocus" and cuddling up under a warm blanket on a cool fall night? It's been one of my favorite memories since childhood. You can also make fall time treats to eat while you watch your favorite movie.
4. Fall Semester
You may think I'm weird, but I like fall because of the fall semester. School starts back and it's time to make a fresh start with a new semester. If you think about it, it's kind of like a "new year" for college students. You can set new goals for the school year and strive to do better than last semester. I love buying new school supplies (I know, I'm weird) and feeling organized with all new things.
5. Fall Scents
Have you ever walked into Bath & Body Works around this time of year? Well, it smells like fall. There is nothing better than buying a fall-scented candle and burning it for the first time. It gets me pumped for fall time!
6. The Clothing
I love the wardrobe of fall much better than that of summer. I love wearing sweaters and jackets more than shorts and tank tops. To me, fall clothes are so much cuter than summer clothes, but that is just my opinion.
7. Fall Drinks
Yes, even the drinks during fall are better. Starbucks comes out with its seasonal favorites and you take every opportunity you can to get a drink. Apple cider, hot chocolate, hot toddy, etc, are all fall time drinks that you just can't beat.
For me, fall is the absolute best time of the year. There is just something about it that makes it 10 times more magical than any other time of the year.
