It is the new year, which means the box office will be rolling out new movies. Here are the top six movies to watch in 2016.
1. Moana
Release Date: Nov. 23, 2016
Featuring: Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson
Why: It is Disney's newest princess. The movie features Moana Waialiki, a Polynesian princess that goes on an adventure to save her family. And who doesn't love a Disney princess?
2. "Finding Dory"
Release Date: June 17, 2016
Featuring: Ellen DeGeneres, Diane Keaton, Ed O'Neill, Ty Burrell
Why: Everyone loved "Finding Nemo," and by loved I mean was obsessed with it. This second movie long anticipated by "Finding Nemo" fans all over. Pixar and Disney plan to capture our hearts again by bring us a new family favorite!
3. How to Be Single
Release Date: Feb. 12, 2016
Featuring: Rebel Wilson, Dakota Johnson, Leslie Mann
Why: Gather your girl friends and buy your tickets because this is one movie you will not want to miss on your GNO. This movie follow four New York City women and some guys along the way, as they how to be single and look for love/affection in the fast-paced city.
4. "My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2"
Release Date: March 25, 2016
Featuring: John Stamos, John Corbett, Nia Vardalos, Alex Wolff, Rita Wilson
Why: "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" is on every girl's all-time favorite movie list and now we get to re-love it again! This time, Ian and Toula's daughter is experiencing the pressure being Greek, as the family plans another Greek wedding. This movie is sure to win over your big, fat heart!
5. "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice"

Featuring: Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Amy Adams, Ezra Miller, Gal Gadot
Why: As if we need a reason to go see an action-packed movie starring two of the greatest superheroes of all time. This is sure to be a movie that has you at the edge of your seat as Batman and Superman go head to head, leaving the world wondering what kind of hero do they need. Are you Team Batman or Team Superman?
6. "The Jungle Book"
Release Date: April 15, 2016
Featuring: Lupita Nyong'o, Scarlett Johansson, Idris Elba, Bill Murray
Why: This is at the top of my list of movies to watch for 2016 (saved the best for last!). Disney has re-created its classic animated film for the big screen once again, but this time in live action. You will not want to miss this animal-tastic movie!
