Football in the south. There's nothing like it. Everywhere you turn you're faced with "Are you an Auburn or Alabama fan?" Whether it is from a potential boyfriend, random strangers or even college professors the question will always spark debate with a simple yell of "WAR EAGLE" or "ROLL TIDE." When it comes to being in my presence, you will always be accompanied with a War Eagle. If you're a true Auburn fan, these signs are exactly how you separate yourself from the average college football fan.
1. You love Auburn University as a whole and not just as a football team.
Whether it's the campus, beautiful buildings or just the friendly people, as an Auburn fan you're in love with the campus as a whole and not just the football program.
2. You automatically say War Eagle to someone who has something Auburn on.
It's normally a complete stranger you will never see ever again but if they have on anything repping Auburn you greet them with War Eagle and you can always be expected to hear it back.
3. The word BOOM is a lot more than just a sound
When you hear the word BOOM you're trying to figure out if it was a touchdown, 1st down or just a good play and where Gus is throwing his arm in the air.
4. Rolling trees isn't meant as an act of vandalism
Rolling trees is meant as an act of celebration when Auburn wins. When people aren't catching them on fire or poisoning them, it can be called the snow of the south as the white strips blow through the wind.
5. Orange and Blue
It could be clothes, pens, markers, the sky, if it's orange and blue you will automatically think of Auburn. You're closet overflows with these colors, you brain automatically puts them together.. It's only natural.
If you're an Auburn fan, Auburn has a special place in your heart. It's Saturday's in Jordan-Hare, pizza at little Italy, t-shirts bought at Tiger Rags and tons of pictures all around campus. When you're an Auburn fan it's just a way of life. It's what we love, raise our kids to love and how we spend our Saturday's in the fall. War Eagle!
