We as Auburn Students love our traditions! It's what our school and our family is built on. However, not everyone understands these certain things we will do a million times and never get tired of.
1. The Auburn University Sign Picture
We all know what I'm talking about because you've taken one about a thousand times yourself, and you've liked a million and one of them on Instagram. Taking a picture in front of the "Auburn University Established 1856" sign has become a right of passage on our campus for future, current, and alumni students. How could you not love this AUsome backdrop?
2. Snapchat Stories in front of Samford Hall
It just seems almost impossible to walk in front of Samford Hall or lay on Samford's lawn without looking at its beauty and wanting to "snap" a quick picture! The best pictures are of Samford with those gorgeous Auburn sunsets in the back! Who could ever get tired of that? Which leads me to the next one...
3. Auburn Sunset Pictures
You don't even have to check Facebook, Instagram, or Snapchat to know that almost every night in God's Country, there is orange and blue in the sky. Gracing everyone's eyeballs and camera's are those to-die-for sunsets we all love to see and capture. When it comes to sunsets in Auburn, there is no denying God is an Auburn Fan.
4. AUBIE Pictures
We LIVE for pictures with our beloved National Champion Mascot! You can tell when Aubie is at an event or just out and about, because there are phones flashing everywhere and a line blocking our way to class. I think the ultimate goal is to get as many pictures with Aubie as you can, at different events and with all of his hilarious costumes. Just saying, we'd probably be late to class if it meant getting a picture with Aubie...shh, don't tell mom or dad.
5. Pictures and Conversations About the New Video Board
Saving the biggest and best for last, the new and improved "TigerTron", per us Auburn students. We still cannot understand the massiveness of this thing, so what do you expect us to do, NOT take a picture standing under it? Psh, I don't think so. It gets talked about all over campus, and has made its way into other articles circling the internet. Let's just say, I don't think the Auburn Family will get tired of this present for a while.
Here's to the traditions, old and new, we all know and love. So for all you people who don't understand why we do these things a million times and could do them a million more, I hope it all makes a little more sense now!
