1. Inner Strength
One of the greatest ways to improve inner strength is practicing yoga. As a college student, I have noticed that practicing yoga has not only gotten me more in shape, but also made me less stressed. After all, yoga and meditation are so much more than just a workout.
2. It helps you focus
Studies have proven that after practicing, yoga participants were more able to focus their mental resources, process information quickly, learn more accurately, and hold and update more pieces of information.
3. Increased flexibility
Some people may not be the most flexible and that’s okay. Yoga probably won’t help you become as flexible as a gymnast, but I guarantee you’ll be able to do something as simple as a split in no time.
4. Increased energy
Yoga has the power to not only improve one’s physical energy, but also one’s mental energy. What the body feels, the mind feels. What the mind feels, the body feels.
5. Increased happiness
Devoted yogis will tell you that yoga is not only the path to enlightenment, but also happiness. Before practicing yoga, I always wondered how it could have such a positive impact on someone’s life. To be completely honest, yoga is one of the hardest things I have ever taken up. It takes a lot of practice and determination, but the end results are worth it.
