Let’s talk about something that few people really appreciate in life. Something that I am a die hard advocate for and hope you are too.
Ladies and Gentleman, I introduce to you: the dad bod.
The guy attached to that body is usually down to Earth and the perfect mix of both sides of the spectrum. I personally am not attracted to abs in any way, shape, or form. Sue me. I like cuddling with someone that I probably won’t crush ya know?
Anyway, here are some reasons why the dad bod is, in fact, the best bod.
Good for food dates.
Listen, you don’t need a guy who meal preps and sticks to ordering a salad with dressing on the side everywhere you go. I don’t need that negativity in my life and I’m sure you don’t either. I want a guy who is down to go to endless sushi with me or decide to order an extra large pizza and breadsticks to watch Netflix with.
Good for future reference.
In college, guys are typically in the best shape of their lives. They usually go to gym daily in between shotgunning beers and Taco Tuesdays. But if the guy you’re after already has a dad bod, then you’re not going to be in for a surprise when he inevitably acquires a dad bod. By then, he looks the same as he did 10 years ago.
I love cooking and they're not afraid to eat.
I was taught how to cook at a very young age and I love cooking everything. Pasta, wings, soup, you name it. I cook for everyone and I like making food and desserts for my friends and whoever I’m dating. If I make grilled chicken, brown rice, and flavorless broccoli then what’s the point. A guy with a dad bod will love when I decide to make Cajun chicken pasta at 1 in the morning.
Better at cuddling.
Look its pretty self explanatory, I don’t want to cuddle with a rock.
Tailgating is more fun.
Tailgating is about good friends, football, and great food. And beer of course. Dad bod’s always appreciate a good beer and a big platter of wings. It’s like science or something.
