Procrastination is defined as "the action of delaying or postponing something". We're all guilty of it sometimes, the responsibilities pile up and time seems to fly past you. Procrastination to some extent is unavoidable but you can't let it become a lifestyle. Growing up procrastination has always been a problem for me, but I've been trying my best to eliminate it from my life. Here are 3 reasons why we should all stop procrastinating:

1. You always have a list of things to do hanging over your head

Your completing everyday tasks and 20 things you need to do, that you haven't yet pop into your mind. Your not even sure if you remember them all and you're hoping you won't forget if you don't find some place to write it all down asap. Even when you do write it down you end up having multiple lists filled with uncompleted task that end up getting forgotten. It feels a lot better knowing you have done all the things you need to, not having to worry about what you have to do or when your going to find the time to do it. The piece of mind of having all your responsibilities under control is priceless.

2. You end up rushing to finish things

You find deadlines that seemed so far away right before you and the only option you have left is to rush through your task. Rushing through things causes stress, anxiety, and mistakes. You don't want to end up trying to complete something that would normally take you 5 hours in 30 minutes, you'll find your whole body stressed out and I doubt you'll be in the best mood either.

3. Your work doesn't reach it's full potential when you procrastinate

Sometimes we don't realize how much being organized and planning out our work before we approach it can better it. By taking the time to plan out a schedule and alot time for all the things you need to accomplish you are sure to be better off. Time and effort build a lot of the things we achieve in life. So, by avoiding procrastination, taking the right amount of time, and putting the right amount of effort into that time you'll find your productivity at it's finest.

Procrastination is one of those deceptive monsters that rears its head at all the wrong times. The temptation to do anything aside from what you should be doing. You really do have to fight it. Procrastination really is self-sabotage and it's detrimental to all of our potential and success

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
