Anxiety is a full-time occupation.

21 Problems Only People With Anxiety Have

We overthink to the extreme and make one little incident ruin the rest of our day, and most possibly our entire life.

1. Being asked to answer a question in class

Even if you know the answer, you're constantly second guessing yourself and don't want to sound like an idiot if the answer is wrong.

2. Doors that don't lock when we leave

When we have a door that we must lock every time we leave, we are constantly worried whether or not we actually locked it and hoping we did because we don't want anyone going into our homes and stealing our things, so we go back and make sure we locked it and repeat the process at least three times before starting our day.

3. Hearing a noise at night when we're home alone

So yeah I guess I'll be murdered tonight so bye world.

4. Tests, pop quizzes, anything school related that tests our performance

Anything that tests your knowledge on anything is a stressful experience which leads to forgetting everything you learned and studied for that is on the test and not doing as well as you could've done.

5. Being told we're pessimists

...because we know it's 100% true and really don't know what to do about it.

6. Seeing someone younger than you be more successful than you were at their age

Still wishing I could've been a teenage pop star like Taylor Swift, but that dream was lost once I turned 20 and I'll most likely be regretting it for the rest of my life.

8. Having to go talk to a professor

Whether that be to talk about a paper or a test grade, talking to anyone of authority is scary. But when you have to discuss with them something they did that you don't agree with or have to explain yourself, it's hell.

9. Getting a call from an unknown number

Why is this person calling me?? Am I in trouble?? How did they get my number?? OMG they are calling again, what the hell do they want?? Help.

10....receiving a voicemail from that unknown number

Literally have an anxiety attack when I see that little read dot next to the voicemail icon and most likely delete the message without even listening to it.

11. Meeting new people in any social situation

Having to go up to people and introduce yourself is terrifying but having to continue that conversation with small talk is even worse.

12. When someone doesn't reply to your text within 5 minutes

Okay so I guess we aren't friends anymore because they hate me.

13. Traveling/Airports/Airplanes

With all the bad things happening on airplanes now it's hard to not think of the negatives: What if the person who is supposed to pick me up oversleeps and I miss my flight? What if they lose my luggage? What if the plane crashes? What will my dogs do without me?

14. Misplacing your hand sanitizer when you need it most

Since I commute on the subway everyday, it is essential to have hand sanitizer at ALL times because of the disgusting germs other people distribute. But when I'm about to eat a sandwich and look for the hand sanitizer and realize I lost it, I won't be eating at all today.

15. Large, overwhelming restaurant menus

Trying to narrow down every single meal you might get then asking the waiter about each of them, finally making a decision, thinking about that decision, wondering if you should've gotten the other food instead, wondering if this will be a pleasant meal or one full of regret.

16. Driving

Only enjoy it when no one else is on the road. Leaving a concert, sports game, or any other event is a pure nightmare.

17. Shopping on a crowded Saturday or during the Christmas season

With people bumping into you, walking too slow, walking to close to you, just their presence in general makes you want to leave.

18. Shopping in general

Deciding whether or not you should buy this or that or if you should buy anything in general because you don't want to spend the money but you do have that event next week that you could wear it to but you also have something less cute at home but appropriate for that event too but you just really want to buy that item of clothing just so it can be in your possession but is it worth it? It's all just an endless cycle.

19. Not being polite to someone

Whether you aren't in the mood or accidentally are rude to someone, once we realize our actions, we can't help but overthink it all day and feel bad the entire day about what terrible people we are until we go and apologize to that person for being so impolite before.

20. Public speaking

Just the fact of everyone having all their attention on you and listening to exactly what you're saying and thinking they are quietly judging you.

21. Thinking about all the dumb and embarrassing things you've ever said in your entire life

...for the rest of your life.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
