Ahh, Odyssey Day. O-Day is the crowning jewel of all days at Catholic University. From a prospective student’s perspective, CUA is a university that prides itself on student life, faith, academics and school spirit. From a Catholic student’s perspective, Odyssey Day is a chaotic day where it is essentially "Mission Impossible" to get from the front doors of the Pryz to the student restaurant.
All jokes aside, this day is one of the most stressful days of the year for some students and the Admissions staff. As a cardinal ambassador (tour guide), I speak on behalf of all cardinal ambassadors when I say we have more pressure than ever to flawlessly pull off this day. Odyssey Day is the most important day of the year. This admitted students day is the day where most students decide whether or not to commit to CUA as a member of next incoming class. If not executed perfectly, that can lead to losing the interest of soon-to-be students and their families.
Here are twenty thoughts that run through Catholic University students’ minds:
1. How many free things can I steal today?
It may be for prospective students, but I can't pass up a chicken sandwich in a box.
2. *Sees cute boy across the Pryz. Realizes he’s a rising college freshman.*

3. Since when do we have, like, 80 clubs on campus …
We have a sorority?
4. Where can I get these fanny packs?
I'll take five.
5. Can I have these balloons?
This would look great in my dorm!
6. I wish these were dogs instead of people.
Because who doesn't love puppies.
7. Fun game: How many dad jokes can I overhear today?
I'm betting on 11.
8. There’s one.
The disappointment on his daughter's face is funnier than the actual joke.
9. There’s two.
That joke was kinda funny ...
10. I can literally crawl faster than this family in front of me.
*Army crawls.*
11. Ooh, free cookies!
They're out of chocolate chip.
12. *Random mom asks where certain building is.* Oh crap, I literally have no clue where that is …
We have an art building?
13. Abort mission. Abort! Mission! Run away!

Aw, now that one was just sad. And slightly raunchy.

This makes up for the lack of chocolate chip cookies.

Cardinal Ambassadors are weird.
