The Southern California area is a great place for amazing food and awesome experiences. Unfortunately, it's also one of the more expensive places to live. Luckily, there are also a ton of opportunities for college students to take advantage of the place they're in while not breaking the bank.
1. Go to the Griffith Observatory
2. Visit Bluth's original Banana Stand in Newport, CA.
3. Hit up Crystal Cove Beach
4. Take in the city lights at the observatory deck at the Los Angeles City Hall
5. Walk around the LA book fair
6. Go to the Lantern Festival in Huntington Beach
7. Hit up the art museums in LA on a free day
*Side note: it's going to be SUPER busy on these days, but completely worth it if you're trying to save money.
8. Sit up in the nosebleed section at a Dodgers' game
9. Indulge in the taste of Salt and Straw Ice Cream
Bonus: the area is super cute at night and perfect for walking around and window shopping while you eat the best ice cream you've ever tasted.
10. Watch improv at the Upright Citizen's Brigade in Hollywood
11. Sign up to be an audience member for a talk show taping.
12. #TBT to your childhood at Golf N' Stuff
13. Hike to the Eaton Canyon Waterfall
14. Get healthy with (Free!) yoga classes at Runyon Canyon
15. Get your caffeine fix at one of the MANY amazing coffee shops in LA
Don't worry, no one will judge if you go to four of them in one day.
