20 Reasons I Could Never Date My Guy Best Friend
LeeAnn Gorecki

You hear so many stories about how girl and guy best friends fell in love, and now live happily ever after, and that’s great from them. However, that is definitely not in the cards for my best guy friend and I. He’s great, and will make some girl very happy someday, but it won't be me. Which I am more then okay with, he’s not my type. A lot of people, including my mom, asks why my guy best friend and I aren’t dating. There are plenty of reasons, and here’s a few of them:

1. He’s like my brother

2. He knows too much

3. He encourages some of my crazier ideas

4. We would both have way more miles on our cars from the late night drives

5. We would both get sick from all the cookie dough we would eat

6. We would never get anything accomplished

7. The grocery stores would run out of fruit snacks

8. We would have so many cats

9. And they would be fat

10. He has seen me with some pretty shitty guys

11. The kids would be pretty messed up

12. Other people would hate being around us

13. We would be at McDonald’s every day

14. The garbage would never get taken out

15. We would fail out of school

16. He feeds my princess ego

17. I know too much about him

18. We have too much blackmail on each other

19. We are too comfortable around each other

20. We would have no other friends because we hate people

I am glad to have you in my life, and couldn’t be more thankful to have a best friend like you. Thanks for always being down to complain about people, get dinner, or binge eat cookie dough.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

The Importance Of Being A Good Person

An open letter to the good-hearted people.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
