20 College Baseball Stadiums To Visit Before You Die
Stadium Journey

College baseball has just begun, so let's look at the 20 college baseball stadiums, in no particular order, to visit before you die

1. Carolina Stadium. University of South Carolina. Columbia, SC.

The Gamecocks are two time NCAA National Champions, so it makes since that they would have a fantastic ballpark in downtown Columbia, South Carolina.

2. Alex Box Stadium. Louisiana State University. Baton Rouge, LA.

Known as "The Mecca of College Baseball," Box Stadium has helped LSU earn the season average attendance title for NCAA baseball every year since 1998.

3. Dudy Noble Field. Mississippi State University. Starkville, MS.

What makes Noble Field unique is "The Left Field Lounge" where Bulldog fans pull their trucks or RVs up and tailgate the game in the South's largest baseball BBQ.

4. Liberty Baseball Stadium. Liberty University. Lynchburg, VA

Despite playing in the Big South Conference, Liberty Baseball Stadium rivals some Minor League parks and comes complete with fire pits for those cold February night games.

5. Russ Chandler Stadium. Georgia Tech. Atlanta, GA.

The oldest baseball stadium on the list, Chandler Stadium was built in 1930 and has seen the Yellow Jackets compete in the CWS 8 times and offers fantastic views of the Atlanta skyline.

6. Baum Stadium. University of Arkansas. Fayetteville, AR.

The 4th largest college baseball stadium in the nation is also 2nd in the nation in average attendance a year.

7. Dick Howser Stadium. Florida State University. Tallahassee, FL

The main reason to come to Howser Stadium is the fans. Known as "The Animals", this rambunctious group has many traditions, including singing the Canadian National Anthem during the bottom of the 5th inning.

8. Disch-Falk Field. University of Texas. Austin, TX

A massive ballpark, Disch-Falk stadium was at one point the only college baseball stadium to have AstroTurf instead of grass.

9. Doug Kingsmore Stadium. Clemson University. Clemson, SC.

Doug Kingsmore stadium is a gem nestled in the town of Clemson, South Carolina. The facility recently received a face-lift with a new player facility built this spring.

10. Foley Field. University of Georgia. Athens, GA.

Foley Field has a rare treat of not offering bleacher seats for fans, but every fan receives individual seats like at a basketball game. The stadium also features a large statue of former coach Frank Foley.

11. Goodwin Field. Cal State Fullerton. Fullerton, CA.

Goodwin Field is a newer stadium, as it was built in 1992, but the Titans have been successful at the park as the team has never had a losing season in it's Division 1 history.

12. Hawkins Field. Vanderbilt University. Nashville, TN.

Hawkins Field has an interesting design, as the stadium has a replica Green Monster wall and half of the concourse is located underneath the stands of the football stadium.

13. PK Park. University of Oregon. Eugene, OR.

Oregon's stadium is also home to the Eugene Emeralds, a local MiLB team. The stadium is also influenced heavily by the Portland Timbers soccer stadium with the wooden awning.

14. Reckling Park. Rice University. Houston, TX.

A newer stadium constructed in downtown Houston in 2000, the Owls, usually sell out, especially if cross town rival and AAC powerhouse Houston is in town.

15. M.L. Moore Field. University of Louisiana Lafayette. Lafayette, LA

In Lafayette, the crowds are large and rowdy, especially since the Ragin' Cajuns have hosted a Regional and Super Regional round during the CWS for three years straight.

16. Oxford-University Stadium. Ole Miss. Oxford, MS.

Ole Miss stadium is very unique, with it's stands being elevated above the dugout and the student section being on a hill in left field.

17. McKethan Stadium. University of Florida. Gainesville, FL

Florida is used to large crowds packing McKethan Stadium. Be careful however, as the Florida weather is unpredictable during the Spring as rain could enter at anytime.

18. Jackie Robinson Stadium. UCLA. Los Angeles, CA.

Named after the famous Dodger, and former Bruin, Robinson Stadium is located on the outskirts of LA, offering a beautiful environment for America's Pastime.

19. Boshamer Stadium. University of North Carolina. Chapel Hill, NC

Boshamer Stadium is an older stadium that is full of history. In fact, the Heels have been so successful in the ballpark, that a sign on the entranceway reads "Omaha, where the Tarheels play."

20. TD Ameritrade Park. College World Series. Omaha, NE.

No list of college baseball stadiums would be complete without Omaha, Nebraska. And while Rosenblatt Stadium is gone, TD Ameritrade Park has done a fantastic job hosting the CWS for the past five years.

Honorable Mention

Horner Ballpark. Dallas Baptist University. Dallas, TX

Lennon Stadium. Western Carolina University. Cullowhee, NC.

Frank Eck Stadium. University of Notre Dame. South Bend, IN.

Springs Brooks Stadium. Coastal Carolina University. Conway, SC

Jim Patterson Stadium. University of Louisville. Louisville, KY.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
