Nestled in Morris county and far from anything you’ve seen on "Jersey Shore," Mendham, New Jersey is the place I’ve absolutely loved to live in since way back in 3rd grade. The 973 is the place to be, and if you had the pleasure of growing up there too, you can definitely relate to these 19 Mendham staples.
1. You’ve spent your fair share of afternoons at Kings shopping center.
2. While you were there, you went to Wicker.
3. And you probably got a half and half.
4. The minuteman is a pretty important guy to you (even if you still don’t know what a minuteman is/are slightly bummed he's just a colonial dude).
5. You most likely attended Mendham High School and hardcore supported the Mendham-Central rivalry.
6. Even if you have or haven’t attended Mendham High School, you’ve still gone to at least one Mendham sports game.
7. When you were little, you probably spent your summers at Brookside Beach or went to Borough day camp.
8. You go to Chester or Morristown for basically anything, because let’s face it: The whole no chain restaurants thing really gets us down sometimes.
9. On that note, you’ve probably spent more than a few afternoons at the Starbucks in Chester (which is not the place to go if you don’t want to see people).
10. You’re still mourning the loss of the Chester Movie Theater.
11. You probably hate Mendham cops.
12. You've name-dropped Chris Christie or Peter Dinklage at least once.
13. Every place in town during every season is photo-worthy.
14. You’re a diehard Chester Bagel fan.
15. The creation of the Mendham Snapchat filter was a big day in your life.
16. You’ve taken a walk on Patriots path or in Schiff Nature Preserve, which are just a couple of the amazingly beautiful places to hang out in Mendham.
17. You know at least 10 people that go to Nitroflex, and you’re probably one of them.
18. The Black Horse is your family favorite restaurant.
19. You’re incredibly grateful you got to grow up in Mendham, because it really is an incredibly beautiful place to be.
