Throughout our life there is always that one person that is constantly there for us, our best friend. Sure, we've had our ups and downs but when it comes down to it they are there for us. I mean you do everything with them, from your first concert to your first college experiences. People might think you're too close but that only cause you're totally obsessed with each other.
1. They have permission to respond to any of your text messages
My best friend has written a slew of text messages for me. If she's not physically typing them out she is coaching me through the process. She's there to give you advice on things you may not even consider like, " you should put three m's in um not two." I mean would I have landed the guy if I had put two m's instead of three?
2. You've experienced momentous events together
I mean meeting your favorite band is a pretty momentous event. The fact that she was there to calm your nervous, keep you from making an idiot of yourself, and snag a pretty amazing picture, how can you not be obsessed with her?
3. You're fine staying in together
The best nights are spent on the couch, in sweatpants, eating. These are actually the best nights.
4. You've cooked meals together
If you haven't cooked a meal or two together are you guys even friends?
5. They know not to ring the doorbell at your house
They know to just walk right in.
6. You text them your daily routine
"Yeah I'm on my way to school, then I'm going to the gym, then I'm gonna take a nap, then I'm making chicken for dinner." It's okay cause they do the same for you. This is just so you know where the other is at all times.
7. You're extremely supportive of the other
Whether it's something big like them starting a new venture in life or the fact that she ate a banana instead of chips you're super proud of her achievements.
8. You vent about EVERYTHING
From not having any clothes to wear to the annoying thing your mom did two night ago. Your best friend knows all.
9. Nothing is embarrassing or off limits with her
You openly pee in front of her so why would anything else be off limits?
10. She knows you better than you know yourself.
If you talk a big game, she'll call you out ASAP. She will give you the cold hard truth but its cause she loves you.
11. Her problems are your problems
So when she's having problems with other friends and you're having problems with coworkers, you agree that the person you're having problems with is THE WORST!
12. You tag them in 700 things between Instagram and Facebook
Whether it's the outfit that you need, the recipe you guys have to try or the article about being best friends since elementary school.
13. Your significant other has to hear you talk about how much you miss your best friend.
My boyfriend hears this AT LEAST once a week. He also hears the reasons why she is my best friend all the time.
14. Her stalking abilities are equal if not better than yours
She could tell you what your crush was doing 2 years and 6 months before you met them.
15. You openly admit that you are obsessed with each other.
At least you acknowledge it.
