It's natural to feel lost or confused about where you are headed or where you are. It's OK to have that feeling in your stomach where you don't know what to do. It's hard asking people for help when you don't even know what help you need. You want them to say the words you need to hear, but they say the complete opposite.

Here's some advice for those who feel lost from someone that has been there:

1. The best thing to do is to keep moving.

This may seem near impossible because you don't know what direction you should be in, but eventually, you'll find the way. You cannot pause your life because of this feeling. You have to keep one foot in front of the other and continue with your journey.

2. Don't push away those that are closest to you.

I know it's easy to push people away and figure this all out on your own. However, the people you are closest to know you better than you know yourself sometimes. They know what's best for you better than you most of the time.

3. Sometimes It's better to listen than to speak.

Listen to your heart, your soul, your God. The answer could be inside you, but you have to stop and listen in order to truly hear.

4. Follow your dreams.

My parents always told me to follow my dreams, not the money. It should be about finding your passion.

5. Happiness is a mood, not a destination.

If you're searching for happiness, you're never going to find it. Don't fixate on that "place" that will make you happy when happiness is situational.

6. Read/Research a lot.

One of the best things I have done is look deep into paths. One of the things you can do is research and search different journeys you can take.

7. Don't over think.

Take precautions so you don't overanalyze. This is one of the most important things to remember when lost. You can become so lost in overthinking that your problems become much bigger than they need to be. The stress alone takes a heavy toll.

8. Don't stress.

Don't sweat the things you cannot control. It's not worth the time or effort.

9. Go with your gut.

Sometimes your first instinct or feeling is what is best, so open up your heart and listen.

10. It's okay to not be okay.

It's OK to not have everything figured out, and breaking down is perfectly okay.

11. Sometimes you're gonna hear what you don't want to hear.

Usually, this comes from your parents or really close friends when asking for their advice, so don't get upset or discouraged. They love you and just want what's best.

12. Not all those who wander are lost.

Maybe you're just wandering but not lost. Your curiosity can push you into thinking you don't know where you're headed, but don't be fooled.

13. Don't put things off.

Important deadlines or emails should not be put off until the very last minute. Rash decisions are never the best decisions.

14. Travel or simply go somewhere to clear your mind.

Don't sit around and dwell when you can go out and live your life to the fullest. Go clear your mind, and explore somewhere/something new.

15. Live.

It's your life so go live it to the best you can.

Life isn't easy, but it's okay to be lost. That feeling isn't going to last forever because there is a plan for you. Take those steps to go find your path, because the journey, the growth, the strength that you achieve is worth it. No worries the best is yet to come.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
