It's been three years since I packed up my car and made my first trip to Tallahassee. It has been three years since I started my first job, met my first roommate, and went to my first college football game as a student. Three years, and it feels like three minutes.
Okay, well maybe not three minutes exactly. Between the emotional breakdowns, classes that were seemingly pointless, championship games, easyMac, friends, nights that turned into mornings, and so much more; its actually hard to believe that I haven't been in this college town longer than the three years. Something even harder to believe: I only have one year left.
With this final year, I have a few things that I would still like to do and see before graduation; things like my final spring break trip, leaving the country with my roommates, and so much more. Some things I have yet to do won’t compare to the things I have done in the last three years.
So from my senior class to you, make sure to at least accomplish a few of these things in the three years you have before your senior year creeps up on you too.
1. Learn to cook something other than ramen/rice/chicke
2. Go on a date – not just coffee, but dinner, maybe a movie too
3. If another snow day happens, stay up all night with friends and wait for the snow
4. Rush a sorority/fraternity
5. Take a summer session
6. Run from pots/ The Strip to the fountain
7. Take a class with Mark Ziegler
8. Visit Doak at night
9. Go to a baseball game at Dick Howser
10. Play on an IM team with your best friends
11. Go to the concert of a band you have never heard of
12. Travel, anywhere
13. Go to (another) National Championship, and win
I wasn’t lucky enough to do number 13 the first time, but this year I won’t be making the same mistake when we go again.
