During the summer of 2015, the Huffington Post published an article with real quotes from Donald Trump. Seeing that he is now the President of the United States, it's important that women hear exactly what Trump thinks of us. Trump doesn’t see women as equals; therefore, it is in the interests of women everywhere to oppose hm in any way possible. Without further ado, Donald Trump on women:

1. Giving your wife a negotiable asset is a mistake

“I would never buy Ivanka any decent jewels or pictures. Why give her negotiable assets?” Here Trump states he would never give his wife anything of value. This could be because from that she would gain independence, obviously a problematic situation for Trump. What is he supposed to do with an independent wife? Respect her?

2. The presence of women in the military naturally invites sexual abuse

Ignoring the fact that most sexual assault victims in the military are men (and that assault is misspelled), what else could we possibly expect from men and women serving together.

3. Women in business need to rely on their sex appeal

“It’s certainly not groundbreaking news that the early victories by the women on ‘The Apprentice’ were, to a very large extent, dependent on their sex appeal.” Trump comments that on his business show it is obvious that women’s advances were a result of their sex appeal, not their ideas or anything actually related to business.

4. There’s no such thing as bad publicity if you’ve got a sexy girlfriend

“You know, it doesn’t really matter what [the media] write, as long as you’ve got a young and beautiful piece of ass.” Not only do I oppose being defined as a “piece of ass”, I don’t think there is a woman in the world beautiful enough to pull attention away from the bigotry that falls out of Donald Trump's mouth.

5. A Woman must be hot in order to be a journalist

“I mean, we could say politically correct that look doesn’t matter, but the look obviously matters,” Trump said to a female reporter in a clip featured on “Last Week Tonight.” “Like you wouldn’t have your job if you weren’t beautiful.” Trump gives the world’s best-backhanded compliment as he tells a woman to her face her career relies on how attractive she is. I guess he missed the realization back in 1920 that women had more to them than their appearance.

6. Pumping breast milk is repulsive

“You’re disgusting! You’re disgusting!” Trump yelled this at a female attorney (who requested a recess to pump milk for her infant daughter) and then proceeded to run from the room. It makes one wonder if he’s ever thought about how his mother fed him…

7. All women are gold diggers, and therefore hate prenups

“The most difficult aspect of the prenuptial agreement is informing your future wife: I love you very much, but just in case things don’t work out, this is what you will get in the divorce. There are basically three types of women. One is the good woman who very much loves her future husband, solely for himself, but refuses to sign the agreement on principle. I fully understand this, but the man should take a pass anyway and find someone else. The other is the calculating woman who refuses to sign the prenuptial agreement because she is expecting to take advantage of the poor, unsuspecting sucker she’s got in her grasp. There is also the woman who will openly and quickly sign a prenuptial agreement in order to make a quick hit and take the money given to her.”

This passage from one of Donald Trump’s books highlights that there are only three types of women, all of which are after their husband’s money. What an idea it would be that a woman might have her own assets worth protecting.

8. Hillary Clinton would be a bad president because of her personal relationship

Straight up offensive on multiple levels.

9. He has no problem being cruel over social media

Well thank goodness he’s being “politically correct”. I can only imagine what thoughts of his he considers to be incorrect.

10. Out of Pulp Fiction’s three hour run time, Trump reveals his favorite part

“My favorite part [of ‘Pulp Fiction’] is when Sam has his gun out in the diner and he tells the guy to tell his girlfriend to shut up. Tell that bitch to be cool. Say: ‘Bitch be cool.’ I love those lines.” Gee I wonder why…

11. Commenting on a woman’s appearance is an appropriate rebuttal to any debate

New York Times columnist Gail Collins recalled: “During one down period, I referred to him in print as a ‘financially embattled thousandaire’ and he sent me a copy of the column with my picture circled and ‘The Face of a Dog!’ written over it.” Maybe someone should tell Trump that his opinion on a woman’s appearance doesn’t devalue her work.

12. Women throw themselves at him because he is rich and powerful

“Love him or hate him, Donald Trump is a man who is certain about what he wants and sets out to get it, no holds barred. Women find his power almost as much of a turn-on as his money.” This quote on Trump comes from a very reliable source, Donald Trump himself. Self-bias isn’t a thing, right?

Donald Trump is a lot of things; inappropriate, racist, sexist, and down right offensive to all minority groups. It astounds me that he is now our president. Women have a hard enough time breaking the glass ceiling as it is, do we really need a president who determines our value based on our physical appearance? Trump will make all the progress we’ve experienced a thing of the past as we regress to a time when women were only as good as their ability to stay in the kitchen. That’s a world I’m not interested in facing, and therefore, I will continue to fight for women's rights, and should you too.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
