We'e all been there. You had a bad day. Maybe you've had multiple bad days in a row, or even a bad week. When we're not faced with the most ideal situations, we tend to lose sight of some pretty important things. When you're having a bad day don't forget....

1. There's only 24 hours in the day.

A bad day, even the worst day imaginable, will come to an end sooner than you think. And hey, worst comes to worst, spend most of it eating and sleeping.

2. Someone is on your side.

Even though it may feel like everyone has turned their back to you, I promise there's one person who hasn't. Grandmas and dogs are usually good for filling this role.

3. Time heals everything.

Bet you've heard that a million times before. It's important though. Situations don't improve overnight, but they do work out eventually, keep that in mind.

4. It's okay to talk about it.

If you want to use twitter or Facebook as your diary, so be it. Don't hold what you're feeling in. Talk to someone. You're allowed to not be okay every second of every day!

5. Put down your phone.

Go outside, walk around. Unglue your iPhone from the palm of your hand and allow your mind to wander beyond social media for the day.

6. Don't forget to breathe.

Take a step back, and accompany it with a few deep breaths.

7. Don't overthink it.

Most of our bad days end with even worse thoughts. Don't sit there dwelling on whatever it is that you can't change. It happened, it's over with.

8. Everything happens for a reason.

Yeah, cliche. Accept the truth in this saying though. This is where you're meant to be, even if you can't understand why right now.

9. Appreciate the knowledge you've just gained.

Maybe you've just discovered 100 ways not to write an essay, or realized it's not a good idea to blow off studying for a quiz. Live & learn people!

10. Attitude is everything.

How your day begins may not be up to you, but how it ends certainly is. Don't make your bad day worse by pairing it with a poor attitude.

11. Don't ruin a good tomorrow because of a bad today.

It's simple, move on.

It's not a bad life, just a bad day & I wish you the best tomorrow.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
