Every state has its quirks, but Massachusetts ones can be particularly noticeable. I learned that very quickly when I left Massachusetts to go to school in Connecticut. Here are some things that I've learned.
1. Not everyone says "wicked"
When I showed up at school and said "that's wicked cool" people looked at me like I had four heads.

2. There are people that actually like the Yankees
Going to a school full of Yankees fans was definitely a rude awakening.

3. Saying you're going into the city doesn't naturally mean Boston
The city to most people is actually New York City, who knew.

4. Tom Brady is not God to everyone
Sorry everyone's quarterback isn't as amazing as ours.

5. You actually have to say your Dunkin order
People in my town just know mine, so other states need to catch up.

6. Some people have no clue how to say Worcester
If I hear one more person say "warchester" I'm going to flip.

7. Iced coffee isn't a normal thing in the winter
I don't care how cold it is or where I am, I'm buying an iced coffee.

8. People actually use their blinkers
I was amazed when I went on the highway and people were actually signaling when they were switching lanes.

9. Apparently asking for a hot cup with your iced coffee is a new invention to most people
In Mass, everyone asks for a hot cup so we can still drink our iced coffee in the winter. I guess other states haven't figured that magic trick out yet.

10. Not everyone roots for a team like the Patriots who win every Sunday
Must be rough not being able to count on a playoff run every year.

11. There isn't a Dunkin two miles away in every direction
I was amazed the first time I drove to my school and didn't see a Dunkin every two minutes.
