11 Reasons I'm Thankful For My Little Sister

Little sisters are the best and the worst. They're there to fight with, steal your clothes, follow you around, and hog the bathroom. But they're also there to listen to you, help you decide what to wear, cheer you on and have your back. Little sisters are friends we never loose. They are the only people who get just how crazy your parents are. And they make really good best friends.

1. No one else is so pretty (even with no makeup on)

My sister, the makeup guru, has the ability to put nothing else, but mascara on, and it still looks like she has a face-full of makeup.

2. If I didn't have her how else would I relate to James Breakwell's Twitter feed so well?

I have never seen a Twitter feed that I relate to more. He gets the #sisterlife.

3. No one else gets just how opposite we are like we do.

From makeup to hobbies we're about as opposite as they come.

4. Even when one of us falls for the dumb boy, we're always there to pick each other up.

Even when you stay with that dumb guy for months, she's there to listen to how much you like him and then how much you hate him.

5. Who else shares my dark sense of humor?

My sister and I laughed about this for days.

6. When she's around it's like having my own personal stylist.

She's there to tell me what to wear when to wear it, and why I'm wearing it.

7. The jam sessions are non-stop.

Whether we're going to school or on a road trip, the jams are inevitable.

8. Even when I'm busy being other things other than a sister she understands.

She might just definitely give me a hard time about it.

9. No one else understands when our parents get into a mood.

This look is traded with her at least twice a day

11. No matter what happens, she's always there.

Little sisters are the ultimate best friends. They're the best of the best.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
