What scares you? Spiders, clowns, planes? Maybe it is something more serious like your credit bill, falling in love, or applying for a job. We all have dreams, fears, and anticipations that may scare us. You should know that it is OK to be scared about whatever it may be. It can be the littlest bug on your bathroom wall or it can be about the outlook of your future. No matter what is may be that scares you don't be afraid to face them head on and learn to cope with methods to move forward in your life.
1. Heights
The fear of being too high to touch the ground can be a scary thing. You may never want to go to the top of a building, climb a tall mountain, skydive, or fly. It is okay to be afraid, but don't let this fear stop you from making great memories with people you cherish.
2. Falling in or out of love.
Have you ever been in love? Gone through a breakup? If you answered yes to either of these questions then you know that getting back out in the dating scene and letting yourself be vulnerable can be a scary feeling. Just know that the most important thing is to be happy.
3. Getting a bad review at your job or a bad grade in a class.
No one wants to be told that they have done a below average job on something. Most individuals aim high and hope that they get credit for all the work they put into the class or job. This isn't always the case -- you can work hard and still see no results. When this happens take a deep breath and don't let it discourage you to the point of giving up.
4. Traveling on a plane.
Do you not like heights? Then you should go back and read number one, but maybe it's not heights for you. Maybe you don't like the way your ears pop, or how close you actually are to strangers. If you must fly, which everyone should do at some point in their lives just for the experience, don't sweat it. It will all be OK; take a sleeping aid and just sleep through the flight.
5. Driving in bad weather.
Snow, hail, rain, or fog any of these weather conditions can make it difficult to drive. This can cause drivers anxiety and they may start paying more attention to how nervous they are then to the roads or other vehicles. If this happens to you pull over and calm yourself down. Call someone who makes you smile and let them tell you that you will get to your destination safe.
6. Tripping in public.
We all have embarrassing moments, some worse than others. One of the worst things that could happen to someone is tripping or falling down a flight of stairs. Not only is it painful, but it is usually in front of a crowd of people. When walking up or down stairs watch where you are stepping to avoid this ugly accident.
7. Failing at something.
Have you ever experience failure? This can be many things even things where others don't think you have failed, but you don't think what you accomplished is good enough. We all need to learn not to put ourselves down and to be positive even in stressful situations.
8. More than five missed calls from your mom.
If there were a big red button that read panic now, we would all be pushing it. There is nothing else that will make you cringe then seeing multiple missed calls. Maybe your volume was off, you lost your phone, you were busy, you were sleeping, whatever the reason is that you missed the calls just call the person back and see what they needed. Don't rush and race to wherever they may be, take a lap and make a phone call.
9. Not being liked by everyone.
Are you that person who needs to be the center of attention, where all eyes are on you 24/7? If so, it is not a bad thing but you may not take rejection very well. As you grow older this can be a difficult situation to handle. There will always be someone better than you and as human beings we just have to learn how to expect that. As long as you are trying your best that is what matters.
10. Speaking in front of a crowd.
Is public speaking not for you? That is OK because many people fear speaking to large crowds in the instance that they mess up. If you do have to give a speech just think of everyone as an animal -- or picture them all in their underpants. This will help calm your nerves down.
