· Become more Organized
Keep a planner and write down things to do for every day a week ahead of time. Write down your passwords somewhere safe for everything so you remember them!
· Exercise more
Find an exercise buddy to motivate you to go to the gym more than once a week. Have goals, and personal rewards for yourself when you meet the goals.
· Don’t Stress
I know I tend to stress a lot about things that I really shouldn’t. Some of those things being money, not having everything completed by its specific deadline, what to eat for dinner the next day, or why I’m fighting with a certain person. Things happen in life and you don’t necessarily have to worry about all of them. They will figure themselves out eventually. Do what you can in the moment and the rest will figure itself out later.
· Do more things you want to
It is nice to ask of other people’s opinions, but don’t be afraid to do what you want, or what your heart tells you. In the end, it is your life, you only have so much time to live it. Yes, be smart about things when you have to, but still do what makes YOU happy.
· Travel More
Do you have breaks in your work schedule? Are you able to take a vacation or request off a certain amount of days? If your boss is pushing for you to take a vacation, why not plan a trip to another state or country you’ve been wanting to see. Do your research and see what you can plan. Sometimes the best things happen when you approach them on your own.
· Own a pet
Did you grow up with that one family pet that you still think about every day as you walk into your home wishing they were there to greet you? Well you can always make another friend. Make it a goal to save the money and adopt the furry friend of your choice when the time is right.
· Spend more time with friends and family
If you have a lazy week night at home, instead of spending it in front of the T.V. why not call a friend? Invite someone over for a game night, or go to dinner with mom and dad. It’s easy to get absorbed in our own lives. We can want to be lazy and not do anything after a day of work or on a weekend when we have off. But, if spending more time with friends and family is on your list, then keep it a priority above being lazy at home.
· Eat Healthy
It is so easy to be at the store and see something that you really would like to eat but isn’t the healthiest. Make it a priority to have some fruits and vegetables, and a healthy amount of protein on your list every time you go to the store. It’s okay to buy snacks you really want once in a while, but don’t make it a habit or else it’ll be too easy if what you really want to do is eat healthy. Set yourself some goals and rewards and keep track of what you buy at the store.
· Get a job you enjoy
Are you tired of working at the local grocery store and dealing with all of the crazy customers? Or of working long physical hours at the warehouse? Start looking for a job that you want. Do you want to be a librarian? Or a banker? See what entry level careers are out there for those jobs and start applying. It doesn’t mean you have to quit where you are at, but keep striving towards what you want every day and you can eventually get there.
· Get out of debt
Do you have a problem with spending too much money? Start keeping a budget of everything you buy and how much you make. You will become more conscious of what you are able to spend on a weekly basis if you know what you have in your account and how much you should be spending with what you make.
