We all get bad days, if there weren't any bad days we wouldn't be able to appreciate the good ones. Bad days do suck though, so here are some ways that it can suck less.

1. Watch your favorite movie / TV show

I don't know about you, but when I watch my favorite movie ("Beauty and the Beast") or my favorite show ("Gossip Girl"), I instantly feel better. If you don't have a favorite just watch some things that Netflix recommends or ask your friends for what they recommend.

2. Hang out with friends

No one knows you better than your friends, so if you're having a bad day, hang out with them. You could go get fro-yo, go to the movies or even just go get coffee. Being with people you enjoy being around will definitely make you feel better.

3. Exercise / Meditate

There have been multiple studies done that shows that working out and meditating will help you overcome a bad day. It releases feel-good brain chemicals (neurotransmitters, endorphins and endocannabinoids) that may ease depression.

4. Play with your pets / someone's pet

Being around something that's happy, fluffy and cute will make you feel better—trust me on this one and find a dog to pet.

5. Do something you love

Whether it's dancing, singing or reading, doing something that makes you happy will ultimately make you happier.

6. Color / Draw

Drawing is a great way to release emotions and your thoughts. If you're not good at drawing, coloring is a great option as well. There are many adult coloring books out there, and you are bound to find one—or you could always print off pictures online.

7. Listen to music

No matter what mood you're in, music will make it so much better.

8. Play a video game

Playing a game where you can be in a different world and forget about the problems in your real life can help you de-stress

9. Change into comfy clothes

Being in comfortable clothes will always make you be in a happier mood. Comfy clothes are different for everyone, so wear what makes you feel confident.

10. Take a bath

Taking a bath can be very relaxing, especially if you have bubbles or a bath bomb. If you aren't a bath person or don't have access to a bath tub, you can always take a warm shower.

Hopefully these tips will help you overcome a bad day!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
