10 Common Gross Habits All Girls Do

When a girl is in front of an audience or in public, even just sitting in class, she's showing the world who she is publicly. She's full of sugar and spice, and everything nice. She smells good, smiles big, and laughs loudly. But when she's alone or with her girls, she changes. She ugly laughs, sometimes snorts, doesn't care if her makeup smears, ugly cries, and doesn't care what she looks like. When she's with her girls, she's her most true self because all of them share these common gross habits, habits no girl would dare admit to anyone other than her girls:

1. We don't ever remember the last time we washed our bras.

I mean, they hold boobs all day. And girls know how often they get "boob soup" (which seems to only happen when it's 90+ degrees outside). And why do you need to wash them as often as you wash other clothing if they don't get gross like other clothing does? ....Asking for a friend.

2. Or our jeans... oops

Actually, same.

3. Dry shampoo is life.

Especially if you're a college student, or just super busy. Dry shampoo will save a girls life for the one night she was up all night studying for a test, or cramming for a early meeting the next day.

4. Finding hair in weird places is literally our every day

In our bra, wallet, on the bottom of the outside of cups, wrapped around our toes, wrapped around body piercings, on our bra straps, in our...areas... 'nough said.

5. Also, finding things in our hair is also the norm

Toothpaste, deodorant, food, lip gloss, mascara, etc. You name it, we've probably had it in our hair at least once

6. We smell ourselves more than we'd like to admit.

Honestly, it's probably on accident the majority of the time. But we also hate smelling like anything other than flowers and vanilla. SO, we have to keep that in check.

7. Sometimes, we wear yesterday's makeup.

Especially if we fall asleep doing an assignment and we wake up late the next morning. Oops.

8. No-shave-No..never

Listen, so if we know that no one's going to see our legs, or if it's winter...HA. NOPE.

9. We sleep in our boyfriend's clothing...a lot

Actually, it's pretty much all we sleep in. Every night of the week.

If a girl tells you she doesn't relate to any of these... she's lyin'.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
