If you came here to be inspired by some of Oprah's greatest quotes or accomplishments, expect something even better.
College is the time for every incoming high school senior to really show what they've learned for the past four years in college. It's a beginning of a new chapter and it's an exciting and chilling new adventure to embark on. From meeting new friends to realizing what you want to study, there is something new to experience every corner you turn. It's a roller coaster ride filled with loops, mega drops, sharp turns and your seat beat better be securely fastened. Now, if you're reading this and you're an incoming college freshman, this list will be top ten thing to expect from college, Oprah style.
1. Morning classes not being what you expected
You're not a morning person? Do not take that 8 a.m. class, unless you want to read chicken scratch as notes (because you're falling asleep as you write notes).
2. Finals are optional (or are they?)
Those past two exams were not so nice to you so you must turn to that one final week of cramming material and studying 24/7.
3. Classmates stirring up the discussion pot in class
Some courses will stir some great debates and some will need your friend to hold you back.
4. Stressing out because of workload and exams and projects
You will literally not know where to begin.
5. Having no more money
There is just so much food you need to keep buying and other unnecessary things that get purchased.
6. Getting no sleep
It's 6 a.m. already? At least we can sleep for an hour, wait...nope. Still need to finish that essay.
7. Breakdowns from stress
This deserved two GIFs because the stress will get you so many times. However, it's okay to cry. Release and continue because you can't be a quitter the first year.
8. Getting inspired
You will meet people, professors, advisors or speakers that will influence you in so many ways.
9. Realizing your potentials and sometimes creating a new and improved you
You are more than just a nerdy student.
10. Expect to have the time of your life
Whether or not this scared you, it's always important to remember to take care of yourself out there—mentally and physically. If you want to go out and have fun, do it. Everyone deserves something fun to do once in a while so don't let school work over burden you. That still goes to stay that you should always put school first. Either than that, fall semester 2016, here we come.
