We all have a type, obviously. But if yours just so happens to be 6'3" and only 6'3", let me tell you about the benefits of dating a shorter guy.
1. When you need to complain about something beyond your control, he empathizes.
He wouldn't change a thing about you, but he understands why you want to talk about something you don't like. Mainly because he understands what it's like to feel less than about something he can't change.
2. He'll never use your head as an armrest.
That annoying thing really tall people do every so often where they rest their elbow on your head, look down and say, "Hey, how's the weather down there?" Yeah, he's never done that to you. Not because he can't, but because it happens to him all the time.
3. They're full of confidence.
In a world where short guys are often overlooked simply because of their height, they manage to make up for it in confidence. While some may be deemed cocky, in the same vein a woman is considered "stuck up" simply because she knows what she wants, short guys are brewing with security. It may have taken them their whole lives to get that security, but it's there.
4. They plan THE BEST dates.
With tall guys, you are pretty much used to the same old same old date night. Movies, dinner, and hooking up in the back of his truck. Until Mr. 5'7" Casanova comes along with roses in his hand, a walk in the park, and a romantic picnic, you never knew what you were missing out on.
5. You have a larger dating pool.
Putting height requirements at the bottom of your preference list will give you the opportunity to find love a lot quicker than being stuck in heartbreak over the 6'3" guys around you.
6. You can kiss easier.
Especially if you're also on the shorter side, kissing while standing up becomes a whole lot easier with someone who doesn't tower over you.
7. You'll never have to sacrifice the top of his head for the sake of a cute Instagram.
Because couples who selfie well together, stay together.
