You Know You're A Tribe Fan When...

This is our year!

You Know You're A Tribe Fan When...
tribevibe.com

If you are from Cleveland, Ohio, you probably know the disappointment our professional sports teams bring to their fans from time to time. Whether it’s the Cavaliers losing the championship to the Warriors, the Browns getting swept away by the Steelers, or the Indians losing their home opener, we all are pretty well prepared for bad seasons by all of our sports teams. But that doesn’t stop us Clevelanders. We refuse to be fair weather fans! You know you are a Tribe fan when:

You refuse to call the stadium “Progressive Field.”

It is and always will be Jacobs Field!

You look forward to the hot dog race.

We all know ketchup ALWAYS wins, but we all secretly want onion.

You are willing to try Happy Dog’s famous designer hot dog.

Yes, a hot dog with fruit loops on top. You think I’m kidding, but word is that it's delicious!

Slider scared you as a child.

This may just be me, but when my parents brought me along to the Tribe games, I would run away and hide from that scary purple bird/dinosaur thing.

The logo change was heartbreaking.

Chief Wahoo will always be our mascot. We can't be the Cleveland Indians without our chief. A plain “C” will not cut it.

You sit through nine innings, rain or shine.

We all know how terrible Cleveland weather can be, but some bad weather won’t stop Tribe fans. We come prepared with sunscreen, hats and scarves, and ponchos. I mean, this is Cleveland, after all, the only city that can go from 75 degrees to 30 degrees within an hour.

Parking prices suck.

We all know the best garage to park in is the one across from Winking Lizard on Prospect Ave, the only garage charging $15 when the rest are $25.

We all have a Grady Sizemore bobblehead.

Nothing is better than free bobblehead day! Save them up, and they’ll be worth money one day!

You paid $12 for bleacher seats.

We all know the bleachers are the cheapest seats in the stadium, but truth be told, they're the best seats to have!

The Drummer Man in the bleachers.

If you don’t know him, then you aren’t a true Tribe fan.

As the season begins, all Tribe fans are hoping for a great season! If you haven’t been to a Tribe game I strongly encourage you to do so! There’s nothing better than walking into the stadium, smelling the fresh popped popcorn and hot dogs, taking a picture with Slider (unless you're me), and enjoying some fireworks after a Tribe win! So with that being said, GO TRIBE!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
