To the stepmom who helped raise me,
You came into my life when I didn't expect it and I'm so glad you did. I hoped that my dad would find someone to keep him company and to make sure he was well fed and loved, but now I know he got so much more than that. He got someone to laugh with, love, and to have adventures with every day. You have been such an influence in his life and I'm so grateful that he found someone as wonderful and special as you.
But for me, I am also glad that you came into my life. I will always remember the moment I met you. With your bright smile and joyful laugh, you came into my life. I could see that you were the perfect fit to our goofy and crazy family and that you would do just fine. I loved that you were always accepting of my brother and I and loved us as your own. Although the idea of more siblings wasn't always exciting, I also fell in love with your crazy, goofy, and awesome sons and was glad to gain them as brothers. You were always so caring and loving and I am so appreciative of that.
Between you being wonderful to my dad, my family, and me, I learned from you. You were always prepared for any situation. You knew how to take care of us and we never saw a day without endless amounts of food. You always kept me working hard and always went to my sports games to support me even though I wasn't even your child. I always loved how passionate you were about your work and about helping people. You put your family first and always have their welfare as a first priority. You went back to school to finish your degree because it was something you put your mind to. You have been an incredible mother ever since your stepped into my life, and I have admired you every day since then. You have set so many amazing examples of what it means to be an incredible mother, friend, sister, daughter, and wife, and I am so glad you stepped into my life.
I guess all I have left to say is that I am so thankful that you have always shown me compassion and love and that you have always welcomed me. You have always been such a good mom, and I am thankful for you every day. I am so blessed to know you and have you in my life. I am so glad that you and my dad are together and that I get to spend many years to come with you as my mom and as my family. I am lucky to love you and I am thankful God brought you into my life. Thanks for being my mom.
