To the woman who does it all,
To the woman who is always on the run. Always puts Dad and I first. Always makes it to my games or events no matter the time of day or the distance. Always does for everyone, and always puts 100% into everything you do. The woman who would give someone the clothes off of her back if it was necessary.
We have the type of relationship that people hope for. You aren't only my mom but you are my friend more like my best friend. I trust you with everything and I know that I can tell you anything. You have been there with me through a breakup, loss of friends and I wouldn't want anyone else by my side to give me advice, a shoulder to cry on and just an open ear. Relationships come and go but a mother's love is forever. You always know the right things to say, even if I don't always agree with it. Then I sit back and realize that you have been through these things already and thought the same things I did and probably didn't agree with your mother either, until you got a little older. So I just let you say what you have to say and then later on down the road find out you were right.
I am always afraid to disappoint you when it comes to doing something wrong and making bad choices. You never really "grounded" me, but all I needed was for you to not talk to me for a few hours and that was enough for me to learn my lesson. You being that way and with the relationship we have makes me not feel like I had to "rebel" or go against your word.
You and Dad have always taught me to strive for my best, no matter what it was. School, sports, work. I always try to be the best I can be for you. You have helped to shape me into who I am today and I can't thank you enough for that.
You always make sure that dad and I are taken care first before you sit down to after your 7am-6pm day at work , your head doesn't hit the pillow until you know all of the wash for the next day is done even though you know the both of us are capable of doing our own. You make sure our dinner plates are full before you make your own.
Thank you so much for being my rock, I love you so much and am so lucky to have a mother like you. Thank you for being my everything.
Love always,
Your Mini Me
