It’s hard to think about how blessed you are in the midst of school and activities and life in general. We get so caught up in what’s going on around us, we forget to think about what we should be thankful for.
We don’t go through life alone. I know I couldn’t make it through the day if it wasn’t for a text from my best friend or a movie night with my roommates. My friends and my family are my biggest blessing in life, and I thank God for them every day, and I know that they are always there to help me when I get bogged down.
In the midst of all my stress, I’m blessed for the time I find (or make) for myself to just sit and read and nap. Napping is the best cure for all stress, even if it seems like you’re avoiding responsibilities. Napping makes you focus on what really needs to get done and helps you prioritize. Try and make time every day, or at least, a couple times a week, where you take a nap before getting back to work.
I often forget how blessed I am for the time I spend with God every week. Whether it be church on Sunday, Alive on Wednesdays or Adoration, time I’m able to sit and talk with Him brings me so much serenity and peace and makes me realize what I’m truly blessed with.
Even though it’s the cause of my stress, I’m blessed with how busy I am. It keeps me involved and active and makes me focus on time management. If it weren’t for my busy schedule, I would be falling behind in school and not doing the best that I could be doing.
I’m honestly blessed to have coffee in my life. Without coffee I wouldn’t function or be able to make it to my 8:30 a.m. Spanish class. Coffee is my favorite thing in the world—without it I would be a shell of myself (even though it never stunted my growth. Still salty).
Feeling stressed in life is natural. It’ll happen. And it’ll seem like you’re not blessed because of how stressed you can be. But you are. You have an amazing support system behind you and so many people cheering you on. You’re not alone in any aspect of life. You’re too #blessed to be #stressed. Never forget.
