Why You Need To Care Less

Add Some Chill to Your Life

Why You Need To Care Less

Life is a whole lot easier when you actually, officially, just decide to care less, worry less and go with the flow. I promise you will enjoy your life more. To my fellow college students:

Your appearance? Care less. So, you had high ambitions to dress cute for class. Until you woke up late the next morning. There are two options here, to care a lot or to care less.

Option 1. Typical you would care about your put together, polished appearance for class. You get ready (and of course, you look great), you skip breakfast and rush out the door.

Option 2. The you that cares LESS has a much more enjoyable experience. You wake up late, put on the classic leggings and t-shirt, causally enjoy your breakfast, and stroll on to class. You still think you look great because guess what? You had a awesome breakfast, slept in later, feel refreshed and you simply don't care what other people think about your chill attire.

You cannot seem to get over your ex? Care less. Stop caring about their Instagram posts with other guys/girls. Actually, just stop stalking them on social media. Stop asking your friends what they are doing, stop caring about what they are doing or who they are talking too. Simply, stop worrying about it. You may always care for someone, however, it is time to move on. You and your friends will be happy you did.

Care less about your grades. If you work hard and do your best, what else is there to do? If you are dedicated to your studies, it will all work out.

Care less about dating. If you want a relationship, you will find it. The best part is, you never know when it's coming. Until then, enjoy your life and your independence. Use this time to grow and figure out who you are.

Don't listen to the people and articles telling you "this is why your single" or "why today's dating life has gone to sh*t" because when you find the right person, none of this will matter. They will enjoy the qualities that were supposedly were "why you were single", and they will treat you right.

Care less about what people think about your decisions. Do what you feel is best, and learn from it. Maybe it was the perfect decision, or, maybe it wasn't. No matter what, it will always take you to another and probably better opportunity. Life is all about learning from your mistakes.

Care less about making plans. If you ask me, life is too short to get stressed about having a necessary schedule for everything you do. It will ruin your life actually, or at least I think it will. Doesn't it get stressful constantly needing a plan? Take some time to relax and enjoy life, take in the world around you.

I mean, we all know food is very important, but I promise you, if you leave five minutes late for dinner, the food will still be there.

Care less about planning your future. The fact is : The future is unknown to all of us, and you essentially have no control over it. Why would I limit myself to only one option? Enjoy being young and all the opportunities you have. Don't take for granted having these options. YOU CAN GO ANYWHERE!

If you have your life planned out- great. I admire the fact that you have it all put together. However, don't cry when you don't get the job you always planned on having. Don't ruin your life by constantly complaining about how you aren't living in the city you dreamed you'd be in right out of school. Embrace the change. Not everything happens as we expect it to.

You never know what the future holds.

Care less about those who have hurt you. Simple. There is no reason to keep those who bring you down in your life. DUH.

On the other hand, forgiveness is always the best decision. Forgive and move on, or even forgive and keep the relationships that are worth it. We all make mistakes.

Care less about your bank account. Okay... well, you should probably care about this. My point is, spend money on things that are necessary, but also spend it on something that makes you happy. I mean, the extra shot at the bar may seem like a good idea at the time (if it makes you happy, right?). Or maybe it's a well deserved plane ticket home to see your family? Whatever it may be, it is important to buy things that are worth it.

Care less about what you think of others. When you keep an open mind with everyone you meet, you see the best in them. You don't expect them to judge you, so don't judge them.

Cargos may be the next best thing and you just don't know it yet...

Care less about all the little things. You will be so much happier, freer, and stress free when you finally deicide to let the little things go.

You woke up late for class? Who cares. Nothing like a morning jog to wake you up in the morning.

The fact you spilled your venti coffee all over yourself really is NOT a huge deal! Bright side, perfect conversation starter with the cute boy you sitting next to you? It's all about the positives people.

Most importantly, to everyone who does care less out there.... Keep it up. Why waste your time caring about something thats not worth the time, effort, or stress?

There are always important things in life we should care about, but if you dwell on the negative aspects of your life, it will only bring you down. From now on, enjoy your life, your college years, and just care less!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
