Relationships are scary. No matter the length, you are giving yourself to that person. At times, you are showing a part of yourself that no one else has ever seen, not even your family or your closest friends. They become your partner in crime, confidant, lover, best friend, but most importantly they change the course of your life and will forever hold a place in your heart. When that relationship ends, it's hard to understand how to deal with losing that person and how to "replace" and fill the void that's left in your heart, especially if you don't have closure as to why the relationship ended or why your significant other acted and treated you the way that they did.

On Valentine's Day, The Scene released a video of a former couple confronting each other about their failed relationship (because of infidelity) and seemingly achieving "closure." Kourtney Jorge (internet dubbed "Hurt Bae") and Leonard Long III met in college and started dating when they moved into the same apartment complex when Long offered to taker her groceries upstairs.

Jorge and Long referred to each other as "best friend" and as the interview progressed, Long revealed that he cheated on Jorge countless times with different women. Jorge confessed to going through his phone and finding text messages and pictures of multiple women. Although there was a lack of privacy and trust, Jorge's actions don't condone Long's infidelity. When he was asked why he cheated, he simply replied, "It was more to do with me not being able to commit."

The interview ends with Jorge and Long coming to a mutual understanding that the relationship is officially over and it's time to move on with their lives. "I apologize for hurting you," Long said. "I hope in the future we can remain good friends and I get a chance to see you grow into the woman that you're becoming."

Throughout the entire interview, your heart bleeds for Jorge not only because she was cheated on but because of the way that she carried herself in the interview. You don't have to know Jorge personally to understand that she is a beautiful woman, both inside and out. Never once did she disrespect, yell or scream at Long. She never threw derogatory terms at him or the women that he cheated on her with. She simply sat, with tears falling down her cheeks, and when she spoke, she poured her heart out to the man that she once loved.

We've all been there with an ex. Regardless of if you've been cheated on or not, everyone can relate to Hurt Bae. It doesn't matter how long it's been since the breakup, we all crave that closure. Even if we already know the answer to the questions we ask. All we want to know is why they acted and treated us the way they did. Because maybe, just maybe, knowing that will help to justify and fill the aching space they left in your heart when it all ended.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
