14 Reasons Why Professional Baseball Season is the Best Time of the Year

Welcome to the best five months of the year! The months that scream summertime, sunflower seeds, country music and beer. ...Yes you guessed it, Major League Baseball season has finally arrived!

Now some people think baseball is a slow moving and boring sport to watch, but they are missing out on truly one of the most heart-felt and passionate sports out there. There is nothing better than sitting out in the summertime rooting for your favorite team with your friends probably doing some rehearsed sing-along clap game with the crowd.

I could go on and on about why this sport is the best, but here are the top 12 reasons why the MLB season is worth watching.

1. The Love of the Game.

Baseball is a game for dreamers and when that dream comes true for a team, there is no better feeling then watching this moment.

2. The Home Run.

The best noise there is hearing that ball hit the bat perfectly and seconds later the whole stadium is on their feet screaming at the top of their lungs and high fiving random strangers around them. That moment is something that will make every baseball game complete.

3. The 7th Inning Stretch.

The one song that everyone, and I mean everyone knows. "For its ONE, TWO, THREE strikes your out at the ol' ball game!

4. The Uniforms.

It's difficult not to notice that of all sports, baseball players wear the best uniforms. Their faces are not covered by helmets or baggy shorts like in other sports. Want to guess the best part of the uniform? Yup, you're right. It's the pants. Just go ahead and try to disagree with that.

5. The Food.

There is beer, there are peanuts and the best, CRACKER JACKS! What more could you want? A baseball stadium is the only place where you can feel completely comfortable consuming all of these at once.

6. The Fans.

Baseball fans will sit in the heat, the rain and the cold just to cheer on their team. Even if their team is losing, their fans never give up rooting for them.

7. The Boy Who Dreams Comes True when he Catches a Foul Ball.

When a boy catches a foul ball, it makes all the little league baseball practices worth it. Guaranteed this boy will keep this foul ball forever.

8. The Unreal Catches.

These players would with out a doubt dive ten feet in front of them just to catch a ball and that is truly amazing to watch.

9. The More Games the Better.

What other sport offers you 162 games in a season? The answer is none.

10. No Need For Cheerleaders.

Baseball doesn't need to have cheerleaders to distract the crowd from a really horrible loss. When they lose, they do it gracefully. And maybe with a little show from the mascot :)

11. The Open Time Limit.

Baseball isn't a rush to the finish. It is relaxed and carefree and it can decide when it wants to end without any pressure to end

12. The Simplicity Of It.

There is only two things you need to play this sport: A ball and A bat. The rules are simple and the calls are easy to make. One simple rule, three strikes and you're out!

13. The Dramatic Faces.

Ah yes what is baseball without the dramatic faces and pauses. Adds so much suspense!

14. The Passion.

Baseball is the American sport. Baseball isn't looking for a fight, just for purely a good game. These players give all they can in every game with the most class and respect for the sport and that what passion is all about.

Happy Baseball Season everyone!!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
