1. The accessibility and adaptability.
It can come in a mug, styrofoam, a chilled tumbler, a socially controversial red cup (we love you, Starbucks) - it makes no difference to us, as long as it's accessible, we will access it.
2. It's comforting.
Ask any coffee-holic - we just can't function the same way without our warm "I love New York" and "Life is better with a dog" mugs in our frantic hands. The familiarity keeps us grounded.
3. The caffeine.
Perhaps this is the most obvious, and the most satisfying - but, hey, we're college students. We compromise on sleep, go to bed late, and wake up early. So yes, we crave caffeine on the daily.
4. The social aspect.
As overwhelmed young adults, we live for those intentional coffee-dates and vent sessions over cappuccinos. Coffee loves company.
5. The smell.
If you know it, you love it, and there's nothing else like it.
6. The variety.
There's iced, hot, frappes, macchiatos, cappuccinos, lattes, mochas, espresso, black, etc. There's no excuse for 'not liking coffee.'
7. The universal acceptance.
No matter where you are in the world, you can take comfort in knowing there's (likely) someone who can offer you a cup of coffee.
8. The coffee-shop vibes.
No explanation necessary.
9. The motivation.
There's a feeling of confidence one experiences after having their first cup of coffee for the day - it's called determination.
10. The seasonal flavors.
So many reasons to get excited: pumpkin spice lattes, gingerbread, sugar cookies, caramel apple, eggnog, etc.
11. The warmth.
There's not much comparable to a fresh-brewed cup of coffee. The steam, the comfort, the soothing heat - we know it best on a crisp, winter morning, but enjoy it all the same on a lazy, summer afternoon.
12. The chill.
Because there really is no substitute to an iced caramel macchiato on a crazy, college day of classes.
13. The poetic photos.
Yes, you know you're guilty, you little hipster.
