We all have that one thing that keeps us going. For some, it might be coffee. For me, it's definitely coffee.
1. It got me out of bed when I needed it
Shout out to coffee for making me regret taking an 8 am every day a little bit less. The only thing that gets my up is the thought of a good cup of joe. I am not a morning person by any means so anything helps!
2. It kept me awake while I finished my project
College life means to things: getting up early and going to bed freakishly late, and that habit has carried over into the summer. Morning cups of coffee not only get me up but to stay up as well.
3. It's saved me after that nap
Have you noticed a common theme here? It's sleep. And this girl just read my mind. All of the late nights and early mornings of college life equal daily napping to catch up on sleep. A post nap coffee is key to not being a zombie for the rest of the day.
4. It kept me focused so I could study
Getting myself to sit down and do endless hours of homework can be a struggle. Sometimes treating myself with an iced coffee or a special drink is just what I need to get me going.
5. It makes me feel fancy on a bad day
When I go up and order a grande pumpkin spice latte with light ice, I feel really fancy and like what I know what I'm talking about.
6. It's expensive, but a Starbucks card helps fuel the addiction
However, feeling fancy can be expensive. When all my dining dollars go to feeding my addiction, there is a bright light at the end of the tunnel. A Starbucks gift card! I mean coffee doesn't buy itself.
7. It's literally what makes my day
Fail a test? Treat yourself with a coffee. Nail a presentation? You deserve a coffee. Is it raining? Coffee for the win.
8. It's keeping me in touch with my Northern roots.
A telltale sign of a New Englander is drinking iced coffee year round. The Southerners may think it's weird but it's never too cold to walk to class without an iced coffee in hand.
9. It makes long road trips kinda bearable
It is a long 16 hour drive from Massachusetts to North Carolina. Only one thing gets me through, coffee. Multiple coffees, that is.
10. It saves all of you from me and my moods
Caffeine dependency is a real problem. Fair warning to anyone who sees me before my morning coffee.
