The air fills with a warm, comforting smell that draws your heart close. The chocolate melts in your mouth and the dough is soft like a pillow. You know your day is about to be made when you eat one of these homemade, amazing, love-filled cookies.

Out of all the cookies in the entire world, chocolate chip cookies are by far the superior cookie. They are the easiest, fastest and best to make from scratch. They are the most satisfying cookie no matter where you are in life, no matter who you are or and no matter how your day has gone.

Chocolate chip cookies have been a classic treat since the beginning of time. Everyone has experienced that childhood memory filled with a recipe that is close to heart. More than likely, a chocolate chip cookie has filled this role .

They are a cookie that never gets old or boring or bland, but the taste is always something you can count on and expect to be perfect every single time. Any other cookie fades with time or changes depending on who makes them.

The smell alone has been harvested for specially made candles so each home can be filled with the beautiful smell. The taste has been added into chapsticks and gum. People have turned it into pies, cakes and ice creams. Chocolate chip cookies have won the hearts of everyone.

On any given day that I'm upset or angry, I almost always start to crave cookies and the second I eat one, my mood completely changes. Chocolate chip cookies are therapy, they are better than any counselor or psychologist (and they cost less, too).

I think it's almost ironic how a cookie can bring back such strong memories of my childhood. It's not a place or a specific person but just something that I ate a lot as a child, and I completely remember that in full detail. It's not something with a strong back story or something that is so sentimental. A cookie that I ate probably over a 100 times is the one that is engrained into my brain and memory. I think that is almost more special because now for the rest of my life, when I eat a chocolate chip cookie, I will be brought down memory lane to some of the best memories of my childhood.

The next time that you need a snack to cure that burning hunger inside of you, or to change your worst mood, or to fill your home with the greatest smell; I advise you to choose the greatest and most amazing cookie, the chocolate chip cookie.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.

For many undergraduates across the nation, the home stretch has begun. Only one more semester remains in our undergraduate career. Oh, the places we will go! For the majority of college seniors, this is simultaneously the best and worst year out of the past four and here’s why.

1. The classes you are taking are actually difficult.

A schedule full of easy pottery throwing and film courses is merely a myth on the average campus. With all of those prerequisites for the upper-level courses and the never-ending battle you fight each year during registration for limited class seats, senior year brings with it the ability to register for the final courses you need to fulfill your major. Yet, these are not the easy entry level courses. These are the comprehensive, end of major, capstone courses designed to apply the knowledge from all your previous courses, usually in the form of an extensive research paper or engaged learning project. The upside is you actually probably really enjoy these classes but alas there is no room for slackers here.
