Here’s what to wear in 2017, for the fashionistas:

Dual-wear clothing

A new trend expected for 2017 is called dual-wear, meaning outfits that are designed to be worn by both males and females. The idea comes from a designer named Raf Simons, who will debut this trend in February at New York Fashion Week.

Leggings

Leggings are making a high-fashion comeback, and not in the way we wear them (with a baggy tee or sweatshirt). Colored leggings are expected to hit the runway as an under-layer, such as beneath a dress.

Yellow

Not the most flattering of colors always, but sure to make a statement in 2017. Expect to see rays of sunshine on the runway this year.

Nylon

Are you thinking what I’m thinking? Better run to the nearest thrift store and cop some old windbreakers. Nylon is coming back into style thanks to Demna Gvasalia, who debuted colorful nylon pieces in the Balenciaga show.

Neon floral

Floral has never really been “out”, but the style is being revamped this fashion season in a bright way- with neon colors and accents.

For the tech-savvy:

Samsung foldable smartphone

The first of its kind, making the device more compact and easier to pocket.

Nintendo Switch

An upcoming game console in tablet form with two detachable controllers on either side is on the forecast this year. Perfect for gaming on the go.

iPhone 7s or 8?

The next iPhone is rumored to debut in September, but it is uncertain whether it will be an expansion of the 7 or a brand new model as the 8. It is also speculated that the home button may be gone for good.

The next iPad

The newest iPad is expected to be released soon, as early as March. Rumors suggest this model will also ditch the home button.

Samsung Galaxy S8

After the explosive failure of the Galaxy Note 7, Samsung fans are hopeful for a better release in 2017. The new phone is expected to have a fingerprint reader and may ditch the headphone jack, as Apple did in late 2016.

Amazon Echo with touchscreen

Both the Amazon Echo and Echo Dot are useful in many ways, but the new model to be released is expected to be much more advanced, with a 7-inch touchscreen display.

BeatsX headphones

Apple engineers teamed up with the brand to develop the newest headphone design, which includes Bluetooth capabilities and better battery life.

For the music-lovers, here are some artists to expect albums from this year:

Jay-Z

Jay-Z is rumored to have suspended the release of an album he composed in order to give Beyonce time to release “Lemonade”, one of the hottest albums of 2016. Now it’s his time, with his album expected to be released sometime early this year.

Blondie

Blondie is said to be releasing an album this year with collaborations that include Sia, Charli XCX, Blood Orange, and others.

Iggy Azalea

The controversial hip-hop artist is expected to release her album “Digital Distortion” early in 2017. Whether you love or hate her, some predict the album will be very successful.

Major Lazer

The popular EDM artist is said to be releasing the album “Music is the Weapon” near the end of January with new electrifying tracks that will be sure to hit the festival stages.

Brad Paisley

He’s one of those artists that seems to never stop working. Paisley plans to release an album this year titled “Love and War” sometime in February.

Avril Levigne

Many are talking about the comeback of Avril this year, but are unsure about exactly what genre the album will be. Guess we’ll have to wait and see.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
