What You Need To Know About The Defunding Of Planned Parenthood
Life News

An enormous victory took place today for those who advocate on behalf of life. Planned Parenthood has been defunded!

This defunding reflects the cultural shift in attitudes regarding Planned Parenthood (PP) and demonstrates the growing tide of Americans opposed to the dismemberment of "undesirable" human beings through abortion.

This defunding was always going to happen. The abolition of abortion will eventually happen.

As scientific advancements in medical science continue, constantly reaffirming the humanity of the human being, abortion advocates' justifications sound flimsier and more radical than ever.

Many people claim that women will receive abortions regardless of its legalization or not, however that same justification applies to slavery. Human slavery will always occur, but that does not mean it should be legal. We could regulate the slave industry or sex-trafficking, and things would be easier on those profiting from the exploitation of others and to an extent, easier on the slaves themselves. After all, during American slavery, some regulations were granted to slaves in certain states by concerned abolitionists. The abolition of the slave trade was gradual. It came in processes in different forms and in different states.

However, slavery is always wrong and under no pretext (regardless of the economic advantage of the master and the limited rights for slaves) justifies the stripping of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. The same applies with abortion. Fetus is just phase of human development, no different from "infant" and "toddler."

Reallocation of resources will change from Planned Parenthood to free clinics and rural health centers, which provides prenatal care, STI testing, diagnostic ultrasounds, postpartum depression, and post- birth care. These facilities are government funded, and far out number Planned Parenthood in locations and resources provided. They are also regulated.

The Supreme Court ruled the PP was not required to meet basic surgical and medical regulations despite the fact that PP provides surgical and chemical abortions. The Defunding of this fraudulent OBGYN is the first step toward providing for women's health. If you would like to donate to one of the 13,000 free clinics in the United States that performs health care for both baby and mother, follow this link. These facilities (which do not kill babies) will only need to accommodate two more patients to make up for the closing of Planned Parenthood. However, headlines will read that "women will die" or "millions left without healthcare," but nothing could be further from the truth. The only thing that will happen is that real clinics and real OBGYNs will receive better funding. Radical, leftist feminists say they want us out of their body — well then they can leave their hands out of our pockets.

This is not a complete win though. This mandate only lasts on year. This defunding is the first step the United States government has taken to distance itself from state-funded dismemberment of human beings.

This is a victory, but make to mistake, the battle isn't over; it has only just begun.

For those who have stood by and done nothing, this is not your victory. I cannot emphasize enough how much this is not your victory. For those who have dedicated time and volunteer resources this is your moment. This is our time, and we have triumphed.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
