Ahhh, high school sports... Let me just say, enjoy it while you can high schoolers!

It is certainly one of the most important things to cherish and appreciate throughout your high school career! Because, now that I look back at it, I took high school ball for granted. It was one of the things I looked forward to every day about high school.

Not only was I in the greatest shape I have ever been in, but I also got the opportunity to make some really good friends and enjoy the sport that I loved. Now, don't get me wrong, I know nowadays, there's so much drama that happens in high school. But, just ignore that drama, enjoy and cherish your teammates and the sport you play. I must admit though, when softball season was coming to an end, my senior year of high school, I didn't think that I would miss it at all. Now, I'm a college student and I have never missed something so much.

I miss the late nights, due to the games, and the drives. I miss how close my friends and I were during that time. I miss our pre-gaming with the team. You'll never find a group of people that will be there with you, experiencing the blood, sweat, and tears you put into practices and games, like your teammates have. High school sports provides you with a group of people that will stick by your side and know your limits. Your teammates cheer you on and help you improve in any way possible. Not only do you have teammates there cheering you on, you also have some students that you go to your high school, that attend games to also cheer the team on. I mean, what's a better feeling than being out on that field and looking at the stands to see them full with people that are cheering for the team?

Being involved in a sport throughout high school has taught me quite a bit. It has taught me how to work as a team, and better myself, along with how to manage my schedule with games, practices and my studies. So, if I'm ever asked what is something I miss about high school, it will definitely be softball season, for me. I miss the bus rides with the team, getting hyped up, along with jamming to music out loud and everybody singing along. I miss how softball season motivated me to always be a good student-athlete in school, and represent my high school well. I miss having coaches that helped me, motivated me, and believed in me.

So, again, to all those student-athletes in high school... Enjoy and cherish each practice and game that you perform in. Thank your coaches and teammates, for helping through the years. As for me, thank you to my old teammates and coaches, you all made my high school years the best!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
